I’m not in favor of trading any R1 picks for Brown. Not sure how it aligns with any other offers but something like a 2027. R2 and 2028.R3 might be worth it.

Right. And thats what I'm scared about, that OUR 2027 1st beats out New England's 2027 2nd for the deal.

If so, so be it. I ride and die with McSnead.

Looking more closely at UDFA TE Rohan Jones.

The more I look at him, he might be more of a WR than a TE. Averaged 27 yds per catch on 19 receptions at Arkansas. He seems to get downfield a lot. Could easily be a big slot. He looks like a bigger version of Whittington.

Hopefully they can hold onto him on the PS if he can't make the active roster this year.

I think they're trying to find a big slot weapon so they have that chain mover if they lose either of Adams or Nacua. So we may see quite a lot of competition this year in camp in that role.

If they do add Brown this offense would be stupidly loaded. That would be fun to see, though losing that 2027 first round pick would irritate me.

If Rams offer beats Pats offer by a hair, Philly deals him to New England. Rams offer has to significantly best Patriots offer for them to deal with us, which kinda scares me.

Would be stoked to get A.J. though.

Only one response and you know damned well it's true because neither of us can prove or will ever be able to prove our opinions. Besides you're already wrong SoRam agrees with you.

Right, cuz Philly is just DYING to send Brown to the Rams, (one of their DI-RECT, Conference rivals), if Rams and Patriots offers are equal.

Philly is apparently dying to get rid of him and maximize their return on him. Anything else is speculation and opinion.

True. Just hope we dont pay an onerous "conference tax."
What amazes me about this is all offseason we were supposed to go all in and maximize Stafford's last years even though Snead never said that we were all in. Now he makes a comment on a show after the draft again about using assets to add to the team for Stafford and it's suddenly oh no we have to not go all in and eff them picks. I just love how we go from one end to the other and back again at the drop of a dime.

Not what I am particularly saying.

I'm simply saying I dont want to OVERpay, for this particular player.

I will PAY for him, dont want to overpay. If the hand gets too rich, just fold, and wait for the next opportunity is all I'm sayin.

Also, if Howie is "comfortable" sending him to a direct Conference rival, that makes me a little queasy as well.

Overpay in your opinion. If the Rams want to pay more than you want to pay doesn't make it an overpay. It's just more than you think they should pay. Two are not even in the same ballpark. Let the Rams decide what he's worth to them.

Yes, and if New England will pay close to the same price as we would, Philly will ship him there. Doubt Rams are going above and beyond here.

Initially, I was on the "hesitant" side of him being a Ram, for all of the reasons posted previously.
If the team has a handle on all of that, then having Brown in the starting line up would make the offense virtually unstoppable.
Still need that 3 down backer, though. :shitlogo::shitlogo::shitlogo::cheers2:
Man, if we get AJ Brown, we can win games if only 10 are playing on defense. Lol

Everything screams NE will be going hard for AJ Brown and PHI has set themselves up for a trade:
- PHI picked up 2 solid FA WRs and drafted Lemon - they WILL be trading AJBrown.
- Best NE WR is now Romeo Doubs
- NE 0 WRs drafted in 2026
- Front office delusional about how good of a passer Drake is. “All Drake needs is a WR1!!”
But I hope the Rams kick the tires at least.

Yes, Brown is a Patriot. Mark it down. Especially if they plan on sticking with Vrabel through this mess.

That’s just SPECULATION!!

If you really follow McSnead & Demoff you’ll realize The Rams are going to hold there cards start. Not saying they won’t call a teams bluff if an offer is to good to be true.

IMO The Rams will work there way there way through there own roster first trying to get a player like Puka to sign long term ? Sort of like how they locked up Kyren Williams.
You can look at the History,I’ll say Ram Players understand the process. If your not willing to be ALL then the door is open & don’t let it hit U in the AZZ.

In 2024 The Rams got caught with a high salary cap during the trade deadline. They don’t want to get caught like that again, and like the Blue Print of 2022 trading for Von Miller & being able to sign OBJ .

Merlin wants Moore, but imo The Rams will wait until the trade deadline to evaluate the needs & injuries to make a run at another Superbowl.

That's possible but again you're projection your opinion an assumption on to a hypothetical and trying to tell me its a certainty. And nobody knows for certain what will happen and we don't know if he's traded who would have offered the better package for certain. Teams rarely tell us what was turned down in favor of another bid.

It doesn't hurt that the Pats are going from a very easy schedule to a much harder schedule. That coupled with all the Vrabel mess almost ensures a higher future draft choice(s) vs. a Rams team with Brown.

Yep. I'd handicap it:

70% New England
20% Rams
10% Other

I like the idea of Robinson, Jennings would be superb, however, might be too pricy. I have concerns at backup LT as when Jackson was not available, the team really suffered and if Jackson cannot play, it also puts Stafford in jeapordy.

Not sure what the current plan is, maybe they feel David Quessenberry can fill in, but I remember him struggling when he played for the Vikings in that capacity. Keagan Trost might be able to provide that backup option as he has played all the positions along the OL, with the exception of Center, however, with more success at RT then LT.

If Trost can deliver, the Rams might only keep 8 OL with the obvious starting five then Dedich, Quessenberry & Trost, but I would feel much better if the Rams added someone like Cam Robinson come September Morn.
Reference your concerns @ reserve LT currently... last yr at this time 2025 DJ Humphries was a poor move and direction. Sofa QB'ing now ...just a bad LT back up & has always been so so as a starter @ LT in @ AZ & KC.

Now one yr later Rams appear to be making better moves on this back up LT to bring long term improvement addressing this sore. My concern has been lowered by the drafting of Swing OT Keagen Trost. IMO from all I can find on Trost this is very good move.

David Quessenberry is not your normal Waiver Wire/Practice Squad well seasoned aged OT. He has a story.

DQ has overcome some serious stuff. In College he played & started @ left OT for San Jose St. He started in the senior bowl that Snead attended

Rookie season injured early IR all season in 2013. Lymphoma was discovered in 2014. Fought back to try to play again.....Missed entire most of 2017 all of 2018 season & most of 2019. In 2020 With the Titans DQ has his first NFL start @ LEFT OT. DQ got 40% of the snaps. At age of 31 yrs 2021 DQ was named starting RT for the first time & played in 17 games played every Titans offensive snap!.

UFA in 2022 DQ signed an economy 1 yr deal with the Bills to be the reserve Swing OT & took 37 % of offensive snaps. In 2023 DQ once again WW UDFA but signed a 1 yr economy deal to be the reserve Swing OT with the Vikings DQ took 30% of the offensive snaps played in 16 gms. In 2024 Vikings resigned DQ on the cheap played 17 gms 30% offensive snaps. Last season Rams was looking for a veteran reserve Swing OT & signed DQ. He was active as the Swing OT for 13 regular Ram season games & throughout the playoff gms.

Rams did sign some young
rookie Swing OT's (Trost / Henderson/ Lindberg/ Blaske) to go with AJ Arcuri & DQ. With all these young reserve OL'ers under contract that DQ stands a very good chance to be that only veteran reserve suited up on game days in 2026 season.
