So he went unclaimed and the Rams still didn't sign him back. And remember the Rams generally pay top dollar for players they want on their practice squad so they usually win in a bidding war. So this, along with McVay's comments yesterday, tells me they did not like something about him. This just smells like that classic "player got the coach speak as they politely threw him out the door" treatment that seems to happen once or twice a season.

If that's the case I'm fine with losing Pooh. If he's not a fit he's not a fit. Whether it's locker room or physical doesn't matter.
If he’s legitimately worse than Reeder. And little hope he could elevate above Reeder by end of next year then he just wasn’t ANY good. Hard to believe but could be a cold hard fact.

All I know is, when it comes to Reeder the team disagrees with the fans. They think he adds value to the team. Fans didn't like Shelton over Limmer. Another case where the team disagrees with the fans. Rams are in win now mode. They have more trust in the experienced guys. Less likely to make a big mistake at the wrong time. Like when Stafford got sacked in the playoff game essentially ending the rally. That was an assignment mistake.

Did any of those guys get on a 53?
No.

So.. fucked themselves? Come on.
The Rams had 4 cut players not clear waivers and land on a team's 53 (league high). Willie Lampkin went to Eagles 53.
31 other Teams passed on Pooh Paul. He landed on Seahawks Practice Squad. Not sure if we made an offer, or if he dissed us.

ILB has been the weakest point that goes unfixed although not for the lack of trying so I give Les/Mcvay that. I get why everyone including myself is concerned that we traded up to not even attempt to run him a bit only to keep limping along with Reeder.

The years past when it wasn't Reeder, we talked Rozeboom (yet another ST standout that stuck around too long that I almost thought he was Reeder Jr. :laugh1:)

Correct. Its one thing to get out played. Another to give away the game on a mental mistake.

If Paul signed with Seattle then I will look forward to seeing him warming the bench, on his way to mediocracy, while this team shoots for SB glory for years under McVay. He must be some sort of idiot for blowing his opportunity here

I wonder how that conversation with McVay went, because it appears the door hit him in the arse on the way out!

It's not that we lost Paul that I am upset about. It's about keeping Reeder on the team instead of Paul that bothers me.

I just want Reeder nowhere close to the team.

And Paul in game 1 looked to have some ability in that game. More so than Reeder ever showed.

But then again, I am just an armchair fan whose knowledge of the game is nothing compared to McVay and Snead.
It was Dolac over Paul. Not reeder over Paul. McVay already alluded to the fact that Paul couldn’t play special teams and the Rams weren’t keeping two rookies out of four guys at inside linebacker.

That's my guess, when McVay hit the "I wish him the best" line in yesterday's press conference I thought "uh oh, Pooh done pissed someone off" and figured this would be the result.
definitely got the same vibe, I new he wasn't coming back at all. I wonder what did or said that got him in trouble? If Pooh can't buy into the team culture the Rams have then I'm glad he's gone.

What did his dad say? Am I the only one who missed it?
He didn't say anything directly on twitter. He started posting a lot of bible quotes that implicated that he was going to be cut, and that led to the speculation that occurred before cuts were officially announced.
