I'm assuming Snead reads this board often.![]()
I - I mean, he - reads it every now and then.
How about you guys just draft Wentz and I don't have to worry about any of the other spots like the whiners. I'm going to be pissed if the advanced pro style QB ends up with Chip and his goof ball offense. Don't let that happen. I'm assuming Snead reads this board often.![]()
Maddening yes but that's because we are fans not NFL coaches. We gave up a lot of picks but that's the price for a franchise QB. It's just my opinion about sitting the rookie but that might not be possible with what we have on the team right now at QB. I can tell you without a doubt that if Keenum comes out winning games for us the rookie will be riding the pine. That's going to be maddening isn't it? Your team gives up plenty picks to take a guy #1 at a position that a lot of people think has been the missing link to success and he's on the bench for half a season. That's going to be so anti-climatic for us fans. And I fully recognize that is very possibly what is fixing to happen to us and probably out of necessity. There is going to be a lot of Wentz, Wentz, Wentz or Goff, Goff, Goff chants this season at the Coliseum until one of them finally hits the field. And what if we are winning with Keenum when the coaches decide our new rookie QB is ready????
Trust me, the Eagles would be worse...
Heard a guy on the radio today claim Goff has a Jeff George, Rogers, Favre kind of arm......um......no.
I kinda thought this too....Has deep throw accuracy issues, but likely due to him throwing to guys who aren't fast enough.
None of this translates to the NFL and probably shows Wentz should probably look to protect himself more, but do you not like?

I think the value of arm strength is not in ability to throw the ball far....my son, who is a baseball pitcher in college, can throw a football 55-60 yards now....doesnt mean he could throw into a tight window 25 yards down field.LOL no kidding!
George was a doofclank and a real jerk, but truly he may have had the strongest arm that the NFL has ever seen.
One reporter in Indy (I lived there when the Colts drafted him) said he saw him throw a ball through the goalposts from the 50 yard line and he didn't take a running start, just a regular throw. There was also a story going around when he was in college that he hit the end zone from the opposite 30 yard line.
I am a Goff fan. But he can't get it 55 yards in the air right now. When he gets a little stronger maybe he can, but he's got an average amount of power in his arm.
But man that guy has Fred Astaire feet.
