I am in my 60s so I sincerely doubt in my lifetime. Would be good for the Rams though. Although maybe Les knows something. Spent a lot of time talking to Arch Manning. Just kidding.

I don't even understand this concept. The player gets to pick the team they want to play for? Maybe the team doesn't want that player...!

If there were no draft, how would teams like the browns or gnats field a 53 man roster?

Doesn't he usually give us a lot of love?
I loath King Peter.
He once said that Martz hid a Warner hand injury and Warner played hurt and lost his job because of it.
Just fabrication.
As a reporter he is ok, I just think he's a dirtbag....and not in the good way.

Why would the NFL be the first target?
Not MLB? NBA? NHL?
This would be a Herculean task that I would not spend much time entertaining.

We all know the story.

Martz trusted Warner so much that he would rather play him with a broken hand than a healthy bulger.

It was a disaster against the, i forget (eagles?), in the rain. Warner couldn't even pass the ball properly. I remember the stories about his hand being like a baseball mitt at practice in the days leading up to the game.

So in the days after the game the Rams said they found out he had a broken hand and that was it for him that season. A day or two later Brenda blabbed on the radio that she told kurt to get his hand checked out at a hospital and they found out it was broken. So she basically said the Rams, meaning Martz, lied about it.

That was it for kurt at the Rams. Martz made him suffer against the giants in the 1st game the next season, then made him stand on the sideline the rest of the season watching bulger derp it up. All the while the lapdog Bernie spent the season character assassinating kurt and spreading rumours that his hand was permanently damaged.

Then Martz wouldn't cut kurt until every team had sorted out their qb situation, giving him zero options.

So no, Kurt didn't lose his job because he played with a broken hand. Martz loved and trusted him. He lost his job because his wife blabbed about team business matters that were the exact opposite of what the team said happened. Then Martz hated kurt. With a passion.

He's trying to tie in the SEC looking to vacate the NCAA in to a bigger picture
He's not wrong that the college football landscape is going to continually & dramatically evolve over our lifetime, but eliminating the draft is just non sensical

Either way, King is a giant C.
Giants I think.....actually threw the ball pretty well but fumbled six times I think.
Marta could have written a book on how to short circuit a potential dynasty.

the nfl makes millions off the draft. I doubt it.
King’s point is that if it ever went to the courts, they may rule the draft unlawful.

The league has influence and money, but so did college football and they lost the battle and are now going to have to share revenue with players and pay them like employees.

Does college football fit under a singular umbrella though? The league kinda feels like Disney where they're too big to be taken down that way.

Yes every Division 1 college will be subjected to that ruling. Thats why some colleges will have to drop some of their sports. The ruling will require schools to pay every athlete.

I think the NFL will be able to argue that it goes against their objective to create a level playing field for each team. We'll see though. I dunno if anyone will ever push the issue that the current structure isn't good.

I love the current structure and I think it makes sense for parity.

There’s too much money and hoopla/spectacle around the NFL draft. No way.

If anything, they’ll add more rounds and days and more network gravy to the process.
Yup. Draft day is a money maker for the league and networks. And whatever NFL city its held in. No one wants to lose that cash cow.
