It looked bad on the replay - leg hyperextended and buckled. Probably an outside chance to make training camp if they can operate before Christmas. 6-9 months for recovery if I remember correctly?

Most commonly cited at 9-12 months also depends on how bad the tear is I think?

For ACL reconstruction, it means the ligament is completely torn. (I believe they actually remove the torn ligament from the body altogether and discard it). They replace it with tendon tissue to serve as a "new" ligament. The "how bad the injury is" usually depends on other factors-- like whether or not there is meniscus or cartilage or tendon damage, or damage to any of the other 3 knee ligaments-- the MCL or PCL or LCL.

Anyway, yeah, recovery time can vary a lot depending on the individual person and the severity of the injury. Six months would be insanely fast, 9 months about average, and 12 months on the slightly longer side these days. Full recovery to total 100% can be even longer than that.

I've had 3 knee surgeries so I know more about this shit than I'd prefer! (My knee still functions okay though, thankfully)

KC is so boned. He eats up quite a bit of cap already and most likely won’t be ready to go starting the season already with a depleted roster and Kelce dropping off/losing interest.

As a MO resident, at least they will stfu now. They’ve been insufferable.
