Yes the defense was bad. So was Matthew. The unfortunate truth ln pro football is lose the turnover battle and 75 to 80% chance you lose the game. Really that simple. Nice to get something out of Corrum. Run defense has to stiffen.
It's not overreacting. Championship teams lose games, but not like that.
Poor play calling by McVay when Carolina was giving us light boxes to run against the entire game. He got too cute with the passing.

Our D thought they could just show up against a team that had a couple reserves on the OL and no great players on O, and they got trucked all fucking game long. Just an absolutely terrible defensive performance, coupled with a horrible defensive gameplan and no adjustments.
Stafford had a shit game finally, and McVay didn't help things out. We could have ran all day on these fuckers, they did nothing to stop us. Corum was gashing them, but I guess if McVay doesn't have a franchise back like Gurley he's not going to try to take advantage of a shitty run D. And he absolutely failed to have them ready to play today. The fucking delay of game on the last drive was inexcusable.
I don't know if we still have the lead for HFA, with Philly losing an all, but we sure don't look like we deserve it today. We could end up having to travel to Seattle or Chicago in the playoffs.
All we had to do to win today is not play down to their level and up to our level, and the team couldn't even do that.

Even with the points given up on D it was all the points given away on O by mistakes that were the bigger factor>

I usually don't blame him because Stafford is very good but he was pretty poor all day, even the first TD to Adams was a poor throw.

We got embarrassed on SNF against Tennessee at home in 2021. We followed it up by losing by 20+ against the whiners.
No it was not. It took 3 turnovers, pick 6 and the Panthers going for it on 4th downs getting 2 long TDs for their troubles to get the win.
Panthers were in it to win it for a upset.
