yea I watch every game regardless of our suckage.

I expect us too fully suck bad but would love to be pleasantly surprised by some unexpected success, especially if it’s due to a bunch of rookies and backups.

Don’t expect more then a few wins but roster talent isn’t always the deciding factor every Sunday.
Hey Texas Ram - nice post.
—I’ll probably find away to watch a couple more games again.I post every day because I’m passionate about The Rams.
—Funny my post above about Allen Robinson.I’ll break him down a little bit, just because nobody else has really.I’ll also ask you about him quickly.
I HATE ALL The Real negative posters as well.I get that way,but at least bring some positive to a post as well.
—Just from the start I think The Rams could be very good if they draft well & The Young Players step up.
@@@ the negative is there has been some nice draft picks, but what The(basic) MISTAKES have hurt. I can go on———-

I like Allen Robinson & think he can be a productive Rams.I’ll add him to The List of players The Rams shut down last season.

—Funny 2 A”Robinson’s.I saw his game against the last niners game.He is a first class guy from listening (seeing) a live interview.Need to look at this post below for a better idea of what (guess) what The Rams might do with him ?

Yea and again not that it's the end all be all but it was reported that ARob was one of the most open wr throughout this year when he played. I'm sure most have seen the tweet/article etc.

Sample: Robinson was the 28th most open wide receiver in 2022 with a score of 65. This was in the same range as Keenan Allen, DK Metcalf, and Michael Pittman and higher than Kupp’s open score of 55. In fact, Robinson’s open score of 65 led Rams receivers.

And the Rams have him on the market. Makes you wonder doesn't it. Has to be that the QB did not trust him to properly read his responsibilities.

About Stafford allegedly not throwing yet.

McVay has stated that Stafford is fine and there will be no limitations on him from OTA’s through camp.

Well that's can't be entirely it can it? He didn't have a qb for a lot of the season never worked with him really in the off season and open is open but I hear you and we may never know or understand but still it does at least show he isn't washed in my opinion.

I finally just listened to the Jordan Rodrigue appearance on the Rams Brothers podcast. Per her speculation (i've seen others mention it on here as well) Alaric Jackson will be our LT going into the season, Coleman Shelton slides to C, Noteboom to LG, and Allen is a post June 1st cut...

Thank god...

Atleast we're heading in the right direction. I'm hoping Anchrum and Bruss show enough to start at the G spots.

If this is true, then they aren't gonna take a lineman w/ their 2nd or 3rd rounders. And this place will become Krakatoa.

As much as I want them to, there's no way they take a T or IOL with an early draft pick...Only 1 OL predraft visit so far and it's obvious at this point McVay and Snead don't take like taking lineman in the draft high just going off their track record...

I'm thinking they take some shots in the dark at OT and C between rounds 5-7...

These guys are always doing the opposite of what Ram fans expect. It wouldn't surprise me to see them draft a center with one of those 3rd round picks. It's prime center territory especially if they get an Edge and an offensive weapon (RB, TE, WR) with the first two......

Actually, with those 3 picks, the rest of the draft they can do whatever floats their boat. ILB, two of the offensive weapons they didn't take in the 3rd, CB, S, PK, DT.

People including some on this board are counting the Rams out this season. I'm not one of them. They won't be the dominant team of 2018, but they don't have to be. The Rams of 2021 weren't a dominant team per se and they don't need to be this year. As long as Stafford and Kupp stay healthy they will have a supporting cast around them.

If the defense comes off of their soft zone look and play aggressively, along with a good offense the Rams can be competitive against any team. If they stay relatively healthy this is a playoff caliber team this year. If Snead nails his first 3 picks they can be more than competitive.

The look of the team is changing but that doesn't mean for the worst. It's way too early to pass judgments.

"That's why they play the games"

I remember 2020. Coming off a disappointing injury filled 9-7 non-playoff season, we lost Gurley and all we had was Henderson (always hurt) and Malcolm Brown. We lost Cooks and all we had was Kupp, Woods and Reynolds (who was in the final year of his contract). We lost Fowler, Littleton, Robey-Coleman and Clay Matthews on defense and all we picked up in free agency was that bust from Chicago, Floyd and A'Shawn Robinson. We lost Zuerlein and JoJo Natson (and Bones) from special teams. We had fired Phillips and hired a young LB coach to be the DC. Then instead of going OL early and often in the draft, we took 2 offensive weapons with our first two picks and an oft injured OLB with our third selection. It wasn't a rosy outlook IIRC.

10-6 and we won a playoff game. Then we won the Superbowl the next season. Go figure!!

I think there's definitely potential...Outside of Stafford, Kupp, and Donald there's some intriguing talent. I definitely think some guys like Hoecht, Al Jackson, Durant, Kendrick (struggled but still showed flashes imo) and even Tutu Atwell who all play "premium" positions all took, at the very least, took a decent step forward last season.

I also REALLY like Bobby Brown. I know we'll miss Gaines but I really think he flashed last pre season. Hopefully he can be another guy who steps up like Durant and Jackson did last year.

Rams Roster Analysis: Looks like a Rams 90's version of an absolute fucking dumpster fire. Only Donald for start for any other team on defense and only Jones and Durant might start for a handful of others. Kupp would start for any team and that's it for offense. Big Rob could start for over half the teams and Stafford is on the edge of being top 10. When the glass is goddamn empty quit telling me its half-full.

It's a rebuild so no sense breaking down the roster at this point. This is the rebuild window, not the "we're all in" window. Rams will focus on adding talent in the draft in 23 and 24. I don't think they'll draft for need, just talent grade this draft. I think the thinking is Donald, Stafford, and Cupp can be good till 2025 so that's probably the target for one last push.

Spoken like a new fan.

Those of us who have been around have been breaking down Rams rosters that had no chance for shit and had fun doing it in many years in our past. The "sense" is in having fun with an in-depth look at your team, in conjunction with your Rams brethren, good or bad. Can't always be on top in this league.

That's one OPINION. A popular one at this time. And this time is APRIL 3RD! We've been through some shit years with some shit rosters. It's possible this could be like those but it's even more likely, this year and this roster (which is far from done being constructed) won't approach the level of fucked up, those bad years did.

For a number of reasons, the first being the head coach and staff. The second being we have studs at some important positions. Third the schedule IS NOT daunting as to who is on the schedule. And lastly, they're not done constructing this team. There's a saying that goes something like this......"worry is interest paid on a debt not yet incurred".

I will put it this way

If Stafford remains healthy and we get a decent OL or two, we can go 9-8

If Stafford doesn't remain healthy or our OL gets injured again, well ......it will be ugly just like last year - probably even worse

QB, is the most important position on any team. Lose the starter for any length of time and you're cooked. Plus nobody can overcome multiple injuries to one position group....not the OL, WRs, CBs, DL etc.. So health is paramount. If we have good health 9-10 wins. Exceptionally good health = more wins.

The thing about our OL is nobody really knows what they're capable of when all are healthy. Certainly not last year and of course not this year because we don't know who the top 5 will be and we haven't seen them play. Everybody is expecting the D to be a sieve. But I'm not sure that will be a consistent issue all year. Early? Sure. But young guys can develop over the course of the season.

In a way, it may be an exciting season to watch. Many are expecting the worse, so as they say, there's nowhere to go but up. Hopefully it's a fun ride.
