The Rams are definitely lacking a pass rush. Sure, Quinn & Barwin sat this game out, and Donald is out for however long, but if there has been one thing missing in every pre-season game, it's a consistent pass rush, whether from the interior or from outside. And yes, i'm concerned. Quinn could be the key to this whole thing, so his health & conditioning must be back to 2013/14 levels or we may be in some trouble defensively. Phillips will coach his heart out, but you still need those specialists who mess with the QB's timing. Whoever returns or however healthy they may be going forward, pretty sure the Rams will be shopping for a premier pass rusher in next years draft. jmo.

I want to look at the game from beginning to end. I think the ST was being tested this game. About to watch the McGregor fight i'll give you my full observation afterwards.

Right on River. I thought they would get Quinn, Barwin and the rest of the defense some PT tonight but nothing. This has been the least amount of QB pressure I can remember for a long time. Philip Rivers eats the defense alive with no pressure. Every game has been the same. Even in the second half there was no pressure. I don't think they were doing anything special on pass rush either. I guess they were looking to see individual effort. Casey Sayles made a couple plays not in pass rush but, he seemed like the only one.

We need a young dominant edge rusher I agree. Quinn is exactly that but has battled injuries the past few years. I think we need to target OLB early next year in the draft.

I don't disagree that the pass rush sucks, but that said how many teams would still have a good one with three guys like Quinn, Donald, and Barwin out?

Bigger problem is the run defense IMO. They need to stop the run in this division and I'm not sure getting those three back will get it where it needs to be.

Yea, we need Donald, Quinn, Barwin, and Brockers in the lineup with the injury to Easley. In the regular season, I'm sure Wade will get more creative to create pass rush, but we're definitely not going to look good when we have nothing but backups in at LB and on the DL.

Only three defensive back starters played at all.

All you can analyze is how our 2nd and 3rd stringers did against their first stringers.

I think that was Wade Phillips whole idea here.

I was more worried about the cushion our dbs gave the receivers. That was some Tim Walton type cushion.

We proved this^ theory right in last nights game against the Chargers!

I'm also concerned about tackling in first couple of games. Without much live contact I think Gore and RBs will gash us with broken tackles.
