I hear enough coach speak to be skeptical, , and also doubt a former teammate would say anything but praise. I have no problem with you believing Whit if you want. I just don’t.Huh? So I shouldn't believe Whit when he criticizes things about players that they need to be better at? And the gif was regarding the other comment which again was laughing at the thought that the Rams are upfront about injury issues which they've rarely been.
Not that I put much stock in PFF's grades but this is encouraging for Anchrum, Avila and Miller. But, what it says about the rest of the Rams OL pass blocking makes it seem rather pathetic.3 Rams are among PFF’s highest-graded pass blockers this preseason
The Rams have gotten some great play out of their linemen in pass protection this preseasonwww.yahoo.com
It's all goidIt was 2:00 a.m. I was a little out of it.
Yes. Stud LT with 2024 Round 1 pick. Solid CB with 2024 Round 2 pick. Top Edge vet via FA or trade. Lock and load for 2024 relevance.Let’s hope that the front office has learnt its lesson and will spend higher draft picks on the OL going forward.
I’d love us to get one of the top LT prospects in 2024 (my preference is for Fashanu), although it must be said that edge is also looking like a big need.

I think AD gives us one more year in 2024, him and Stafford actually. They both know that next year is when we have the capital to get the additional pieces needed for another playoff run.Boom and Bruss not being able to get or stay healthy is a huge disappointment to all of us. Add to that we've seen Boom be a good LT in big games and he hasn't been able to sustain that either. Next years draft and free agency will be interesting. I wonder if Stafford retires who the free agent QBs are. I think AD calls it after this year. I could see a LT or Edge in the first if we pu t QB one more year.
Anchrum has been getting 1st team reps all summer. If he's replaced by Boom, why wouldn't he be next in line ahead of Thomas or McAllister and go straight to the PS? They did not get those reps.Noteboom IMO will be started at RG and they will let the chips fall where they may. If he holds up great if not they have options.
McVay has publicly stated that in his opinion Joe is one of the 5 best OL they have. You don't say that then try to trade him so you can start a lesser talent?
LT Jackson
LG Avila
C Allen
RG Noteboom
RT Havenstein
Swings: OT/OG Thomas, McClendon, C/OG Shelton, McAllister
IMO that is the 9 OL they open the season with. I think Noteboom is being held out because he needs to develop right side muscle memory. Without it he risks injury. I've seen it before, particularly on the college level. I see Anchrum, Arcuri, Bruss and Maginn on the PS. The Rams normally only carry 8 OL on the roster, but with all the film on McAllister I don't see him clearing waivers. All the injuries last year probably will play into the decision to carry 9 this year especially since they will only carry 2 QBs with Rypien going to the PS. Practice squad guys make a lot of money (rookies and up to 2 years $11500/wk and over 2 yrs $15,400/wk.
IMO if Noteboom can't finish the season due to health he's gone at the end of the season. If they designate it as a Post June 1 transaction the dead money is $5M next year and $10M in 2025 so not a huge burden. If he plays decently at RG without getting hurt they will renegotiate his contract to reflect his position.
WRs probably will be Kupp, Jefferson, Nacua, Atwell, Skowronek, and Smith (returner)
Its gonna be a waste of time and all for the sake of trying to save face because they paid Noteboom. He'll be benched or hurt pretty quickly.Noteboom IMO will be started at RG and they will let the chips fall where they may. If he holds up great if not they have options.

In Jourdan's latest she thinks they're gonna go with Boom at RG for the season opener but her whole article is an indictment of how they handled the oline (and him) in general.
I believe it was about a week ago that Jourdan alluded to the possibility of some new difficulty between the front office and our coaching staff. Whether the cause was over the Noteboom debacle went unsaid.
Planning is the realm of the GM. If they are unhappy with the plans year to year, then it is Snead answering the bell on that one.I think she was alluding to more the drafting process but she's been repeatedly critical how the staff handled the Boom extension (if I had to guess that they really didn't have any other plan than to overpay for Boom, that they haven't really been good at planning for turnover and development on the oline).
