Sacks were good. Our DL is a positive, that goes with Donald. Britt was good but our offense still sucks. Gurley not getting hurt isn't much of a positive, I would hope he'd be fine.

But that's for the other thread.

Ogletree is on fire. Jenkins was pretty damned good today against arguably the best WR in the NFL. That PI call on him was sketchy at best. Austin is playing fired up solid football. Foles threw an INT, but he also threw a LOT of good passes. I also love that he will air it out. Just watch for the damn safety Foles. Oh, and for those who weren't counting, if the TEs could catch a damn ball, Foles outplays Big Ben. The o line has looked better every game. Quinn had a good game too! Bell had 62 yards and a TD...that's a win against Bell.

They only got 12 points. Either they're not the best offense in football or the Rams D is damn good.

In a nut shell.

Might be time to shake things up personnel-wise, but I seriously doubt that happens.
Who do you suggest moving around X? I ask because I have no idea who would replace who.

I'd get Harkey more involved in the passing game and make Kendricks the move TE and/or call up Justice Cunningham.
This will necessitate sitting Cook down on the bench for a little while, but tough shit. Time for more ACE sets and more physicality in run blocking.

I'm really EXCITED about Tavon Austin retiring as a RAM. He used to drive me crazy but he must see the game slowing down for himself. I would like better punt return yards but that will come as he will break one every so often. The total JET SWEEP offense has been most of our offense on the ground due to just pure speed and beating the edge. It won a SB for seattle with Percey Harvin ( 2 awesome plays)who I think Tavon can be MUCH more if Nick Foles and TA would work day in and Day out. The next coach will see MAJOR production from #11 and we will all be so happy. SO GLAD FOR NO INJURIES!!! I'm partially responsible for that too.:sneaky::cool: Antonio Brown is just PURE speed and hands with HOPS. TA can be a runner as he was at West Virginia with so many YT Video's of his successfull crazy ass plays that should never have happened. I want TA to be a productive Wide Reciever SO VERY BAD. Nick has to work to get better. Loved the sight adjust First Down with TA today. Its a start. NO INJURIES!!!

Couldn't agree more.one thing i don't understand is why draft all these mauling type olinemen and then put them in a zone blocking scheme.my possitive of the day is Foles's play.yea he had the pick but he also had around 68% completion percentage thats including the bonehead drops.by the way why do we come out in a run formation on an obvious passing situation and try to hit kendricks deep on a day he is clearly struggling to catch the ball?would have rather seen something drawn up for givens or tavon if were going to take a shot

Just not enough playmakers on offense right now, but it is what it is. Kenny had a pretty good game and I hope they build on that.

This is the second game in a row where two plays could have turned a loss into a win. The Kendricks drop and the Joyner(?) missed interception in their territory. Make those two plays (just like last week), and this one is also a win and we're 3-0. 4 missed plays and we're 1-2. crap happens, man. Can't pin that on the coaches when they clearly put their players in the right position to make those plays. What can you do? I'll just reset and plan on winning next week.

What you say is true. But honestly, this game shouldn't have come down to that. Just a descent running game (OL play) should have resulted in a rather pedestrian win. Once Ben went down, they had nothing but neither did this offense. To me, it's not so much about whether a couple of plays could have made the difference. It's that under the circumstances it shouldn't have come close to that. Yup, cap happens alright, it just seems to happen around this team without any apparent end.

Anti-vent: we may be better than SF?

For a while I thought our game was gonna end up like theirs is now. But the defense didn't lay down. As far as the 49ers, its gotta be demoralizing losing that big in consecutive games. And I love it.

Really not necessary, we have a vent thread. Let those of us who see the growth and potential chat.

We are also better than Seattle.
Didn't intend that as a slight. Just making a joke based on the current state of the ARI/SF game. It looks like we are very likely better than SF.

I definitely like getting Harkey involved more as the "hammer." Kind of like Lorenzo Neil back in Fisher's Titans days. I can't explain Cook. That size, speed and fluid movement and getting nothing out of him right now.

Love this thread! I was screaming like a mad man (in joy and excitement) every time Gurley was on the field. I'm excited for him to work his way back on the field!

I am disappointed in the loss, but I actually enjoyed the game. Entertaining until the end.

A win next week and we're 2-2, having beat Seattle and AZ... And a good battle with Pittsburgh... we're feeling a little better about the team.

Uh, 5 sacks? Britt had over 100 yards? Gurley didn't get hurt? Their was a lot of good in this game. I think unrealistic expectations are driving the fans nuts.

Exactly right, in fact, they probably should have had only 9 points. Which makes this loss so maddening and disappointing. If this team expects to make the playoff's, these are the type that shouldn't get pissed away.

Yeah, next week @ Arizona should be a real blast, can hardly wait. It was an entertaining game and somewhat bizarre experience with the camp fire and all. o_O

Karma is a bitch Steelers fans in Oxnard CA! I was at a sports bar and when Britt or Cook went down early in the game some Steelers fans were celebrating saying knock him out of the game and crap like that. Well, looks like you shot yourself in the foot. Why fans celebrate these modern day gladiators getting hurt is beyond annoying and shows poor sportsmanship. Of course we are speaking of some low IQ trash talking low lifes who happen to be fans, so what did I expect? I guess I will say "Get well Big Ben." On the plus side, the Steelers are a very good team and I know there are no moral victories, but we hung in there, had a chance to win, and that's all I want. How bout them Niners today? 47 to 7 loss? Wow. 12 to 6 with less than a few minutes to go and an instant replay reversal kept me on the edge of my seat. That was fun. Go Rams!!!

The anti vent - we have the talent to totally dominate any team we play on the defensive side of the ball. With our defense we should be in every game.

This is exactly why I only post in the vent thread! I believe we are better than our last two opponents. No excuse. Anti vent we will win next week because that team is actually better than us

JL was meeting runners at the line of scrimmage. His best game of the year so far.

Well, Donald is a beast. I wish he could play 22 positions.

Arizona's center Shipley played fullback on a TD run today. I could see Donald playing in our backfield for a few snaps a game. Kind of the opposite of T.A. back there. (Only half kidding because he's so quick for a big man.)

Every post in this thread that did not have at least one positive thing to say was deleted. Someone used the word "ignorant." How ignorant is it to bitch and moan in an anti-vent thread?

What may have not dawned on some of you is that the mods also get ticked off after a loss and we have to greatly restrain ourselves not to ban people left and right. You're welcome! Now let's have some positiveness in this thread, damn it. :sneaky:

You are seriously the best mod on the internet.

I mean that in all sincerity.
