Want to get the last LOL when Derion is a solid CB
Kendrick has always had ability. It's the boneheaded stupidity which has riled fans and, in my view unfairly, led some to criticise his general play.

Hopefully he has matured during his time off and will come back a wiser and more reliable contributor. He's never going to be a shutdown corner, but he has the potential to be a solid number two cornerback.

The niners picked up Tre Tomlinson after he was released & now D.Robinson.Hopefully Kupp goes to tha Hags before that team if he stays in the nfc west?
I think they were both on ir together.Kendrick he seemed mature but was asked a lot.Whiterspoon is one of my favorites just because he has done everything asked and more.Inwonder if Jake knows what his first jersey number as a Ram was. That be like asking what Kobe Bryant’s first number as a Laker would be.There not 44 or 8.

I just think when you have a kid that you in Derion you have to take the good with the bad.He shouldn’t have been the starting CB as a rookie either & Whitterspoon was the guy who took his spot & or changed Durant inside ? Last season Spoon should’ve been resigned to a MULTI-year deal.Rams signed White. They were going to role with Kendrick before he got hurt.
—The Rams were in Chit Creek until Spoon was put on the grass.
I believe I was yelling that at a game that at the time I was SO Pissed!!! Anyway they turned there season around. WOW !!
—Put it this way,if The Rams don’t resign Spoon & count on Kendrick?? I would not be happy, and that would be when The Real Hope would have to click in.

This isn't based on any hard evidence, but I feel like Noteboom sat out games due to injuries most other players would've played through. And that makes me feel like he doesn't love football.

And yet he was on the team for the duration of the contract and played games every year. You may not like the results of him on the field which is fine. But there are many many players who were dumped after one year who take the prize in that category IMO.

Hell we just had an OL who we signed as a free agent that lasted one year was paid more for only a handful of games in Jackson.

Allen Robinson also paid more for a 3 year contract lasted one year of that contract and gave us less than Tutu the last couple of years.

Any money that Bobby Evans and Brian Allen got paid was too much. Just a few off the top of my head that were worse IMO.

Gotta disagree with you there. Only because of the actual numbers...

Noteboom: 3 year / $40 million contract: Constantly injured as a backup, and was a sad backup at that. Couldn't trade him, and couldn't release him because of the massive dead money hits of around 11mil (last year). He also had a average salary of 13.3 million per year to be a backup, which is insane.

Brian Allen: 3 year / $18 million contract: Average player, got cut and only had a 3.1 mil dead money hit, and saved 4.9mil against the cap. Yeah you can't compare the two... At least the rams had some leverage to move on from a somewhat below average player.

Bobby Evans: Not even sure why you brought up Bobby Evans, he was cut on a rookie deal, and was drafted mid rounds. He didn't work out, pretty simple, but based on contracts he doesn't compare to boom or Allen. He was also a backup the entire time he was a Ram. So what he sucked... Rams swung and missed on a mid round pick, happens.

Allen Robinson: You have a point on Robinson, however, they were able to unload Robinson after just one year with the Rams. We swapped draft picks with the Steelers and we had a total dead money hit of around 20 mil for a one year rental. But at least we got some compensation for him and were able to move on, unlike Noteboom. The Steelers also paid some of his dead money hit of about 3-4 million, which the Rams paid the remaining 10mil left on his deal.

Point being sometimes shit doesn't work out with players, but the Rams moved on from them and didn't give them big bloated non tradeable contracts. Especially players that never actually proven themselves for a stretch of time. Which the rams had Boom on a rookie deal for how long? 4 years....
I'll never understand the Boom contract or what the coaches saw with him. Because tape doesn't lie, and he was bad, and sometimes really bad.

Sadly, Kendrick was already pretty slow for a CB, with his knee injury, you have to think he may lose a step. Great size, too slow of feet IMO.

If the Rams didn't still like him why isn't he cut? He cost $3m this year so releasing him would be a pretty good savings.

Still time. They may still be evaluating his rehab and maybe he is still considered injured. May need an injury settlement? Not sure.

No rush... if he struggles in OTA's they may move on. I am sure they will wait and see how the draft turns out in regards to CB help. No sense weakening a position before you can strengthen it.

It's possible. Jourdan's report though says they really like him.

Best wishes Joe, but I have no desire to see him back with Rams.

You have to be on the field to play. Boom had some good moments,
but for whatever reason his body doesn't seem to be made to withstand
the NFL.

They probably still haven't had a chance to evaluate him after the injury. Also, they are short on depth at CB currently. When/if they need the 3m, I assume he may be gone.

Seriously one of the worst contracts ever written up in the McSnead era

True. Not a move that worked out. Wasn't happy about it at the time it was signed.
I was however excited about the Allen Robinson signing. Did not see that flop falling.

The good news is that these misses are few compared to a lot of other teams and
without doubt far fewer than most of our Ram FO's of the past.

I may not remember as far back as some on ROD, but IMHO, this is the absolute best
Rams organization, as a whole, from the owner to the towel guy that I can recollect.

There are still nights I wake in cold sweat, flinging my arms uncontrollably and screaming
out names such as John Shaw and some Zygmunt guy.:bigcry:

Steelers may sign him, they don't know their heads from their asses when identifying offensive lineman. Perfect fit.

This is what I have been saying all through this offseason when I read posts or mocks that either cut or trade him.
I’m drafting and signing (UDFAs) guys and bringing everyone into camp to battle it out—but I’m not dumping anyone until I know I have something better.
