Half the league has started at least 1 backup QB. Have to think the soft practices and training camps have had a very bad affect on player health.
If they expand the schedule again....Im sure always the plan....it will be disappointing.
If they do they need to expand rosters and also expand how many can dress per game. That would help depth at most positions....except....QB.
Which means more of what the tweet was speaking about.

I can never decide.
The training camps and practices are much easier than back in the day. But, the training is much better.
Are the injuries more common now because of lighter practice work?
Is because of the reality of competing in a contact sport against elite athletes that are bigger, stronger and faster than in the past?
Is it that are really not more injuries but worse QB depth because of the reality of how the game has evolved and expansion?
A combo?
Are there more injuries than in the past....I mean, a lot of things that would take a player out of a game today (like concussions) would have guys playing through it in the past.

Thats my guess;

Is because of the reality of competing in a contact sport against elite athletes that are bigger, stronger and faster than in the past?

And they're prepared less for it. You spend your entire training camp not getting hit and suddenly you're playing againnst guys trying to destroy you.
