Hi guys,
Anyone have any ideas as to who should be our new OC?
I don't have a name but would like to see it be someone who McVay will listen to on game day.

Funny thing is Sean Mcvay said he was going to find a good fit to bring in.

—IMO which is as good as anyone else’s,but I’ll use logic & say it wouldn’t be Nate Scheelhause as The Rams OC !!

Nothing against him & or he shouldn’t get The OC job, which IMO he should get.

Point is is that Mcvay really digs deep & doesn’t want to change The Culture & relationships within
what’s happening on the sidelines.

Thinking he wants a Booth guy as OC.Making me dig a little deeper, but if you look back at say Kevin O’Connel he was on the sidelines, but he was also The OB coach for Stafford in away. Wes Wade was in the booth & is still O”Connels OC who should be looked out as a HC candidate. He helped Darnold with Minnesota.

It will be interesting to see who Sean Mcvay hires. Here is a Farch to believe- lol - if happens.

It’s part of Mcvays coaching tree he was in. Plus Kliff was a RAM for a SECOND?? Then USC ? Then Arizona if I remember correctly?

This is how Kliff Kingsbury would be The Rams OC— only if Stafford didn’t comeback.Which IMO doesn’t happen. The Jets,Bears,Cards ,Hags,Rams all have OC

Promote Scheelhaase and then bring in someone as the passing game coordinator who can get some seasoning in the Rams system then replace Scheelhaase next year when he becomes a head coach somewhere else.

I like Scheelhaase but he is likely just a one year solution.

It is Scheelhaase. I'm almost positive they all talked about already. Losing Scheelhaase and LaFleur in the same cycle would be pretty catastrophic to our offense. When one person goes, they always take a few staff members with them. Can you imagine if they both left?

I have to imagine Scheelhaase was told the OC job was his if LaFleur left. One more year with this offense, and he could potentially have his pick of head coach jobs next cycle.

That could happen but I get the feeling that McVay wants some new blood. Just something that I picked up on from his interviews after the last game.

Kingsbury?

Well, when Scheelhaase get a head coaching job next year we'd get a couple more 3rd round comp picks. I hope McVay promotes him.
BTW, still might get a 3rd round comp pick this year. Ray Farmer is candidate for the Vikings GM job. I first heard it mentioned on a YouTube podcast where Ran Carthon really talked up Farmer as a great hire for the Rams and then they mentioned he is being considered in Minnesota as a GM candidate.

Then I found this...

Under NFL rules passed in 2020, teams that lose a minority assistant coach or executive to a head coach or general manager position with another club receive a third-round compensatory pick for two consecutive years. The employee must have been employed by the original team for at least two full seasons
Well as for Farmer, he has been in LA since 2020.

It would be the smart thing to do. Get those 3rd rounders and have kliff slide into his spot next year.
