Oh he has you there Den lol... Spruce is solid. Wasn't his dad a body builder or something? Thought I remembered reading that.

If that even happens ?? Will see. Once again he was not even drafted.

-- I was seriously impressed on his one game ,but seemed like more than 51 yards . He was going against 3rd string CB's. He had a great knack for the game though.

Pure gold? Or fools gold? Maybe somewhere in between?

The Rams may want a fresh break from Britt and Quick. If nothing else because this staff may see the position differently and/or might want to move players just to change the culture and feel around the team.

So, our current guys behind Britt and Quick seem to be key in solving what the squad looks like as we go into a new offense.

Spruce is an interesting guy, but he also feels like the guy everyone is rooting for... and maybe just doesn't have the speed or differentiation of skills to perform at this level. But, I also am impressed by his hands and route potential? I have no clue.

I've seen us fall in love with these kind of tier guys; Stedman Bailey, Greg Salas, Austin Pettis, Keenan Burton, etc.

I guess the simple answer is; let him battle it out in camp and go from there. And... I doubt anyone sees him as more than a depth guy at this point and certainly not a replacement to the top spots.

Just curious if anyone thinks we know more than we did beyond last preseason?

What was nice about this post is Dave 51 was still with us. Probably one of my favorite posters of All-Time.
Funny it was 51 yards I posted on Spruce.

—The Rams are so much different now than back then with Fisher.Even before Les Snead. Still finding talent in UDRFA are fun players to cheer for
as for Spruuuce or Cutch what they do with there opportunity is what helps them to make the team.

-Cutch just because of how he’ll do will make The Rams roster.Just from going to training camp you can see the difference as well.JJ Koski is a player I like that does everything all around better than Spruuuce.
—Cutch is a threat. I saw him in camp & some against the Chargers. Watched more of the game today &
Cutch had 60 yards on drawing PI’s on 2 plays a lone. His TD catch shows how smart he is because he went inside on his route which looks really weird.
If you look at that play a lone as a coach it might make you think drawing up an unconditional route like that. When he did his cut the ball was thrown in front of him,but he still had 5 more yards to separate vs. dealing with the sideline.
