Now that's some funny shit....Verse was pissed and was like I'm getting my number
Honestly man I don't mind the jabbing but it's kind of easy to tell when someone's just being an asshole to be an asshole. Not saying I'm perfect and I'm sure some of us have done it to some extent, myself included, but if it comes my way, I will say something.I mean, I could be more respectful but appreciate the sentiment
Never claimed he would be the next great QB. Said he's a fine prospect and I think it was SMART we Drafted him (see Myles Garrett trade). But claiming a rookie that never played down will be the next great QB isn't? Talk about hypocritical beliefs. Even though I disagreed with you on that you, you are entitled to your beliefs. However you really shouldn't go around criticizing people's football intelligence and saying a belief is a knock. That to me is a pretty douchey thing to say, but hey do you.
No kiddin. Irritating as all hell. How hard is that to do.It's really depressing since you can hear the questions from Browns reporters and we still can't hear the questions from Rams reporters.

I too, expected him to take a step. He did not. Said alot though, and taunted crowds.I think the bigger issue is that Verse did not progress after his first year. He was great in the playoffs in 2024... 2 sacks against the Eagles and a TD return against the Vikings, and we all thought he was gonna be a stud but didn't seem to get better after that. Maybe I'm missing something?
Of course. How can that not be seen yet? This feels like a misrepresentation of what people are saying. I'm not seeing anyone saying that Verse can't or won't get better. I'm seeing people saying that he will never be on Garrett's level.
Turner and Verse will likely both get better. But my opinion is, just as Turner will never reach AD's level, Verse will never reach Garrett's level.
Not everyone underestimates how good AD and Garrett types are.......It's my opinion. I feel we underestimate how good the AD and Garrett types are.
There's a reason Verse isn't getting the sacks. He has one move - the bull rush. It's hard to throttle down and finish consistently from a bull rush. And I believe his arms are short. The skill set of Garrett at the same stage was far ahead of where Verse is.
If you want to say that potential is there, I disagree, but respect it.
I agree with your conclusion, but I disagree that Verse isn't explosive. He is. Verse doesn't have the bend to consistently turn the corner and win the edge. That's why he'll never be Garrett. He has to win with power, hand usage, and skill. Still has the potential to become a great EDGE, but he's never going to be an elite pass rusher. Can become a 10ish sack per year type of guy who gets a lot of pressure, but he won't be a 17 sack per year guy (Garrett's average over the last 5 years).
Dude GTFO with this BS post, I definitely don't need your help to form my own opinions. I know Garrett's accolades well and even stated multiple times he's a sure fired HOF. Saying Verse has a chance based on his elite QB pressure numbers (higher than Garrett's 1st 2 years and up there with some greats) isn't the biggest stretch in the world, but that's simply my stance. Verse has some ways to go, but he's still only going into his 3rd year so to me its too early. Garrett is the gold standard and we are lucky to have him now in our quest for a SB ring. Verse will continue to improve and I'll watch with curiousity to see how he turns out because frankly loved this dude as a Ram. I won't say never but it ain't gonna be easy at all.Never claimed he would be the next great QB. Said he's a fine prospect and I think it was SMART we Drafted him (see Myles Garrett trade).
If you didn't know, Myles Garrett is an Active Hall-Of-Fame player.
Also a borderline "Mount Rushmore" Defensive player.
Where Aaron Donald, Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Ray Lewis, and a few precious others currently reside.
Happy to help.
By the way, I sure as hell don't underestimate those guys. They are awesome although I put AD above Garrett personally because he did it as an undersized DT. However, greats won't stop showing up/developing. They'll have these guys as prime examples of how to play the game and hopefully use them as inspiration to put their own individual stamp on the game. It's my opinion. I feel we underestimate how good the AD and Garrett types are.

I feel like 99% of this board feels the same way. Happy about Garrett and the upgrade obviously but still bittersweet because Verse is a special dude. Once we get in pads and see Myles start wrecking shit it will feel different. This is one of those conversations where I don't even want to have it tbh. Because I like Verse a great deal. And think a lot of him. But the dude has limits and that's why the Rams made this move.
I'm sure we'll all be in awe, myself included. How blessed are we as fans to have had AD now Garrett? Now if AD comes back, I will most definitely be at a few games to witness this historical pairing. Who am I kidding, I'll be there anywaysI feel like 99% of this board feels the same way. Still wrong to demean someone (maybe making fun was the wrong statement - demean is better).Who's makin fun? Are you gonna say a young hot-shot Defensive Tackle who shines his first 2 years (Jalen Carter, Byron Murphy) may eventually be the next Aaron Donald??? You dont do it.
You JUST. DONT. DO IT.
I just don't like it when people demean someones comments. And I am going to speak out when I see it.I'm not worried, not his first time saying some douche bag shit. People not agreeing with me saying Verse has a chance is what it is. My stance is its way too early to judge what he'll ultimately end up as.
Okay yes, maybe did demean. Like he demeaned Garrett.Still wrong to demean someone (maybe making fun was the wrong statement - demean is better).
So we can say ANYTHING and it cant be demeaned? Is there ANY point an "opinion" ( I know, everyone's entitled to one) can be demeaned??? (Serious Question)I just don't like it when people demean someones comments. And I am going to speak out when I see it.
L.A. is full of people who could solve that cheaply in a heartbeat. I hate not knowing who their answers are even referring to.No kiddin. Irritating as all hell. How hard is that to do.
True. Verse may never be as good as Kyren Williams. Surely will never be a Myles GarrettRight now, yes....down the road, maybe, maybe not. Too early.
