We just signed GODZILLA

Cincinnati's first play on their final drive was a disgraceful play by Ramsey as well. This guy was as overrated as they come.
That was the one bad play I referred to.

The rest of the game he played well including the TD he gave up after having a clear face mask against him.

Incredible.... hard to focus the last 24 hours lol.
My only "concerns":
- Myles is a 4-3 DE. The other side is Young. Can we switch to a 4-3 defense? We've already invested a lot in 3-4 lineups, and have quite a number of 3-4 DT's (Fiske, Turner, Davis, etc.) and TWO NT's (Poona & Keenan III).
- Young is certainly a 3-4 OLB. But, had the Rams shipped him instead of Verse, I can see Verse as a better fit at 4-3 DE than Young.
I guess it all comes down to, if we switch to a 4-3 D-Line.
But... uhhh.... I don't think this really matters because we just got MYLES GARRETT.
Go Rams!

Actually, I think this is VERY important.
What are we gonna do?
I'm guessing some sort of hybrid D, but what do I know?

Had TWO obvious bad plays. Chase 1st Quarter, Chase 1st play Final drive.
Don't remember the first play.

Have to add even good CBs get beaten from time to time. Was that one just got beaten or was it like the first play on the final drive where he jumped the gun. I was yelling at the TV - Ramsey you can't do that on that play. The rest of the game Cincinnati couldn't do anything except for the bad call by the Ref.

Great trade for both teams. Feel bad for Verse though. And I can guarantee that every team we play is gonna ask their QB to get the ball out in 2-3 seconds... just like when Aaron Donald played only this time we have the corners who can cover for a few seconds. If the Rams can stay healthy Super Bowl here we come. Go Rams. And thank God for Les Snead - lol.

What about the Chase 50-yard bomb 1st Quarter?

We already know about Evans beating him deep easily in Divisional Game, and his horrendous drop of easy Interception in 4th Quarter of Championship Game which COULD HAVE cost us the game.

It will be kind of like Stafford. Many NFL fans didn't realize how good Stafford was until he got here. Now he isnt a generational player like Garrett, still a HOFer, but not one of the top 4 or 5 QBs of all time. Garrett could end up being a top 3 DL of all time. They were saying on ESPN that it will be great for the rest of the country to get watch Garrett in 7 prime time games this tear and likley several nationally televised games on Sunday's. They will now see how great he is.
Certainly the way I want it to play out.
I hope Garrett is ready for nonstop meaningful snaps—especially in prime time.

Seattle hawks forum running the emotional spectrum... somewhere between it won't matter, I hate them, we're better anyway... and desperate.

Hard to believe we couldn’t have outbid them. That’s likely due to them packaging Verse in the deal (which makes it a little less painful for us)

I assume they are the undisputed favorites now. That will make it all the sweeter when we knock them out of the playoffs.

Rams are legit going all in this year. I hope this becomes a huge flop
___________________________________

I have been told several times that I'm crazy and I'm just a Rams hater. My point has been proven about the Rams, yet again. There is NO WAY they are not cheating the system.
___________________________________

I'm not gonna' sit here and claim that this doesn't make the Rams a lot better. This is ridiculous. How in the world can they afford this crap? And somehow, they'll be able to afford a massive contract for POOka.
_______________________________

Yeah, Verse is legit. Trading away younger talent for older talent seems a bit desperate --- but it will pay off at least this year.
___________________________________

Yeah, Verse is pretty damn good. It certainly helps, but geezus man. Like THAT team needs another beast?
___________________________________

They mortgaged their future in a 25 year-old Jared Verse for a 30 year-old Myles Garrett. They’re likely to get 4 to 5 years tops out of Garrett.

They are clearly shooting for a two year window, with Stafford and McVay, before having to rebuild the team from scratch

If that’s not desperation, I don’t know what is

Did Seattle get Garrett?
No.

Did Seattle really even have a chance?
No, not without making stupid moves.

Does Seattle still have their 1st round picks in 2027 and 2028, and all 12 picks in 2027?
Sweet cayenne pepper molasses, YES!

I'd mortgage the future too if I had two decent years of a franchise left.

It's honestly fine. We just won the SB, and it's in the books for good. This is them lamenting that they missed a golden opportunity so they're going all in for one this year (and they still have to run the gauntlet and do it). Take a look at Spotrac...their roster construction for 2027 doesn't look so good. We're much better set up for longer term success even if they're the favorite this year.

I prefer what Schneider is doing, building for long-term competitiveness, but if I had the Rams situation, I’d be making the desperation move too. Pay the piper in three to four years, and shoot your shot now.

Two different philosophies, and it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top in the long run

I have no worries about Mike knowing how to scheme Myles. None at all.

All legitimate responses. They ran the gamut and covered every emotional, sensible, and hate filled comment. I’m sure our forum would have had the same types of posts had the shoe been on the other foot.

Either way, Fuck the seahawks.

Like I said all good CBs get beaten from time to time. The Evans pass was not great but then again they probably should have been playing 5 yards off at that point of the game. And he should have had help against Evans. And I have seen good CBs drop interceptions from time to time. You're expecting perfection when I rarely see perfection at that position.

The only really bad play was the one where he tried to anticipate the pass and jumped the gun.
