Verse is like Jadeveon Clowney. Disruptive in both the run & pass game, but doesnt get home much on his pass rush.
Byron Young needs to put together a full season this year. Has to stay healthy. They need to have depth at edge to keep these guys fresh.
Unfortunate Browns fan here… hard to believe they traded him but I’m happy he’s going to yall. I’d love to see him win a ring because it’s not happening in Cleveland anytime soon.
You folks will love watching him. He is an insane athlete and a great locker room guy. The helmet thing was an anomaly, well gotta slow down driving too but besides that he will be a great fit.
I’ll be rooting for you next year. He deserves a chance to win. If there’s any hesitation, on how much you gave up, I’ll bet that goes away as soon as you watch him effortlessly get to the qb. He’ll probably get more holding calls too.

Yep, which is why I said his record breaking season last year was nearly twice what his career average is. And i explained why i thought that was using research. Also, I said he talked shit about not going back to the org and yet took the money and went back. I agree its a clown show, so why would he go back. Try comprehending what people are saying before responding, instead of some triggered emotional response over someone's opinion.

Imagine if you had a chance to trade Jared Verse, a 1, 2 and 3 in consecutive years for the last three years of Aaron Donald's career and possibly even a few more.

Pure genius. Poor Browns but Garrett wants to win and they just don't win, it's in their DNA. Also the whole "f them picks" is dumb. Any team would've done this. And we got our QB of the future already so we didn't need that 1st round pick next year. Plus we keep finding 1st round talent outside of the 1st round. This was very smart and might've punched our SB ticket.

Also to me, Verse was starting to show bust potential. He was a horrific tackler, absolutely horrific. Never seen a guy miss so many sacks.

Whether the Rams win the SuperBowl or not, you gotta love an organization that swings for the fence. I lived through the 1990s and 2004-2016. Now, our Rams are the most influential, Innovative, and Bold team in all of Professional Sports. If it is in your grasp, and you are afraid to go for it, then you deserve mediocrity. But if you have the vision, guts, and belief to actually take your shot, then you at least have a chance at glory. Fortune favors the Bold! I love that the Rams absolutely fucking go for it!!!!

All the worry about the Goff/Stafford trade (understandable at the time) turned out to be a big fat nothing. We were supposed to be the better team in the short term, and the were supposed to be the better team long term. I think I know how that one worked out.

Cheers man. I think you got a hell of a player in Verse too. I’ve always felt that it would be great if the Browns could do something for your incredible fan base. Of course I wouldn’t want them to beat our Rams but I’d sure like to see the Browns get a SB for the fans’ sake.

Not sure how his first two seasons show bust potential. He did seem to lack the ability to close the deal but he’s too young and coming off 2 pro bowls in his only 2 seasons sure say otherwise. Still I think we definitely improved the defense and team overall with this move. I hope Jared goes on to have a great career. Unfortunately, he’s going to a franchise that may indeed be capable of making your statement correct.
You know what I'm wondering at this point, what does Byron Young look like after learning from Garrett? I think there's a high probability Young has more sacks than Verse over the next 3-5 years.
This also doesn't account for the double teams Garrett commands. Identical to AD you cant single block him so he will be double teamed non stop. Who else benefits from the more 1v1s and spacing? Does Kobe have a career year? Fiske? The talent upgrade we just got at pass rush can't be understated IMO.
