Only did a quick 3 rounder, but this draft goes a long way towards improving the defense and is pretty realistic IMO. I think Sweat goes a long way towards helping fill the void left by AD. He is a much more nimble guy then his size suggests.
How is a guy like Kool-Aid not willing to run through a wall for you?!? HOW?!?!!!!!!Apparently, he doesn’t have a particularly good work ethic.
I wouldn't until the 3rd unless you get a late 2nd in a trade down.He and Nix IMO start being targets for the Raiders in the 2nd unless somebody trades ahead of that spot.
I wasn't saying for us, don't want either of them.I wouldn't until the 3rd unless you get a late 2nd in a trade down.
I want pass rush, whether it's edge, DT, or a special LB talent like Cooper.
Another pass rush option would be Darious Robinson. More of a 4-3 DE, but I could see him as a inside pass rusher on passing situations. A very quick 6'-5" DL that could be very disruptive.

Imo the best edge of this draft is Dallas Turner. Dont think he will slide to 19.
Mock Draft, IF the Rams were to obtain another veteran CB

Here I've got base nickel defense where both Cooper (w/ Earnest Jones) and Smith stay on the field 90+ percent of the time as the former has the speed to run with anyone and the latter plays the run better than some LBs. Booker is added to the rotation to keep them fresh and even allows for Latu to move inside during some obvious passing situations and embarrass guards from time to time like he did in college.
The DLine? Kobie takes Donald's spot (Desjuan Johnson subs), Brown III is at NT, and the remaining spot and depth can be filled by day three selections (like Bama's Eboigde) and vet free agents.
The team plays a 3-4 defense in which Donald, while a great player, was a luxury. But while Donald's are hard to find, solid (they don't have to be great) interior DLinemen are much easier to locate, and you can build a successful defense with a good coordinator. Especially, if the offense is putting up a buttload of points.
Great for defense!!! I think McVays gonna want 1 offensive toy in the top 83 picks. The more I look, the more I see E. Cooper as an elite talent. We gotta get this guy...
That’s what my thought was as well. He’d be a great pick.I wonder how far Dallas Turner could drop? Id be very happy if they moved up a bit and got him.
Yeah, but you did this without any of those ridiculous trades.Ya, it's wonky. I just restart it every time I see Chicago take Alt...or Bowers...or MHJR...you get the idea. And of course, the trades are ridiculous. But I'm bored.
