in regards to this game in the Sportsbook, we will keep the existing bets as they stand, and will settle all bets as a push if the game isnt played at all.

I am playing for championship in my fantasy league and I am ahead by 14 pts with one player yet to finnish, Joe Mixon. My oponent has one player left to finnish, Josh Allen. I'm pretty sure if this game were to play out I would lose.

Right now our game is in limbo. Not sure how this will be figured out.

I’m in a battle for last place, up by 18 and the guy I’m playing has Ja’marr Chase, Gabe Davis and Evan McPherson in his line up. If they don’t replay the game, he’s gonna be last…!

You would think with all of the millions of hits to the chest the NFL has seen through the years that would have happened much more frequently than just this once. Either he had an undisclosed condition, or something else.
the problem with that reasoning is that the hit has to be in a very specific place in a person’s chest which varies slightly from person to person at a very particular and narrow slice of time in the cardiac sine rhythm.

When we account for all the conditions required to be met as well as mitigators like chest protectors and the much lower speed of human contact as compared to a baseball or hockey puck, it makes sense that the occurrence is rare

We had a similar issue in our league and both participants agreed to be named co-champions and split the prize money of both first & second place.

I believe this embraces the esprit de crops plus personifies the embodiment of sportsmanship.

I would not replay that game and move on. Go by winning percentage and considering everything that has unfolded, it's truly the most logical solution.
If the Chiefs beat the Raiders, and I think they will, then the Chiefs would be the number one seed in that scenario. It will be interesting to see how much motivation the Bills will have Sunday.

The good news is he's improving and they're saying he's awake. If he's strong enough to make a comment before Sunday, I could see this really giving them motivation to rally around him and win it for him. I can guarantee the Bills will be the sentimental favorites during the playoffs.

Wow. Damar is going to feel overwhelmed to learn what's been going on in the last 72 hours while he's been unconscious.

I'm so glad to learn they think he is "neurologically intact." I was worried that the lack of blood flow to his brain might have caused damage. But apparently his brain is ok. Relieved to hear that.

I have been watching all of the press conferences and searching for any valid information with Damar's condition and today did yield the most encouraging news. You could just feel a nation take a collective breath.

Damar is still in critical condition, on a ventilator not breathing on his own 100%. He is heavily sedated and in the very beginning stages of recovery. There is still much that isn't known yet. Great news today but this is still a strong young man fighting for his life. Please continue to keep him and his family including his large extended one in your prayers and thoughts because he still certainly needs them.

I am sure I am not alone that we wish to see Damar Hamlin on the field again.

The Buffalo Bills team is not concerned about this game being called a no contest. Nor should anyone else.

I for one am a Bills fan the rest of the season.

Me too, damn them. I was hating them for Week One and stealing Von, but gotta root for them now...

I think we are playing a little semantics here. A one time occurrence versus never I guess you could refer to as "rare." It still makes no sense that in 2023 one man got hit in the perfect spot at the perfect time, and everyone else never has...I'm going to stick to my opinion. I think he may have had an either undisclosed condition, or an undetected condition. Time will tell.
