Always take the proven star over the draft picks. Its guaranteed success. Draft picks aren't. This is a great move for Green Bay.

I like the varying opinions on this trade in regards to the Cowboys.. There are good points on both sides of the argument. However, you need some cornerstone type players to build a team around. Parsons is that type of player. I think Jerry should have paid him two years ago. He screwed up and now he's in a pickle. I don't blame him for making the trade now. I blame him for bungling this whole situation for the last few years. Jones is a lousy GM wannabe. He will tank for the first pick. He will pick Manning and waste his talents on poorly constructed teams.
I need someone who knows Dak's contract to tell me what it looks like for them to get out of it

.... and in that scenario, I do think that Rams would consider him. Don't @ me!!!!!

I never think it's a good idea to trade your best player within your conference...

but I got to say that 2 firsts and Kenny Clark is a decent get for the Cowboys...

Jerry's sons need to intervene and force pops to bring in a real GM and/or Football operations president

According to Snead we've used like 5 draft picks to replace AD. I'd rather have one generational gamebreaking player like AD or Parsons then 4-5 medicore players.

For $40 mil., you're not getting 4 above average players, you're getting getting 4 or 5 players like Michael Hoecht or Samsun Ebukam.
You are correct if you assume the players acquired are by Jerry Jones. But stop and think, Les didn't end up with guys like Hoecht and Ebukam. His 5 guys included Verse, Fiske, and Stewart on-the-cheap, allowing the money to go to Adams and others. It's why I sing his praises.

Hell, I'll be the first to sign up for AD at whatever the cost. But let's not pretend that every organization that loses a franchise player is in the same position; because they are not. It's up to talent of your upper-management to navigate those roads. Dallas is screwed, as you suggest. The Rams? Well, our dudes figure shit out and we come out just fine.

Don’t like this for us, but Jordan Love has cooled off since he exploded two years ago. Game film and all that. Thumb injury currently.

If he doesn’t have a hot year it probably doesn’t matter what they do on defense.
Packers are definitely a lot better. That was already a top 5 defense last year iirc.

Also while I'm shooting from the hip seemed like Love cooled off after getting paid. Hard to stay after class to study film and be the last one out of Green Bay Packer Park when you got all that money in your account. :laugh2:

You don't trade hardcore like this before you know what you have in a team since the assets given mean you must win now. If this was week 7 or so and the Packer's offense was tearing it up, you go all in.

One player doesn't get you a Superbowl unless they were the last piece..................LB was/is not the last missing piece for the Packers.

He is good, don't get me wrong, but I have seen him play and he doesn't do things on D that transforms those around him.

Our '26 Rams 1st, '27 1st, and Byron Young would have been a better offer.
Nah. We’re going to need a new franchise QB and T soon.

Give me those over a pass rusher, even an elite one, any day of the week, especially when we are already stocked in that area.

Seeing the price Parsons went for, I'm now rethinking my stance against trading for him.

Some assumed Verse would need to be included, while I assumed the Falcons '26 1st would need to be included. The Pack gave up what will likely be 2 late 1sts and an over-the-hill player.

Our '26 Rams 1st, '27 1st, and Byron Young would have been a better offer.

I think I would have been willing to pay that for a gamebreaking player. We'd then have two with Parsons and Verse.

And we might have gotten AD back for a season.

Surprised Dallas traded him within the Conference, and to a top-tier-team.

Also, really thought Dallas could have gotten more than two (almost certainly) late first round picks.
Clark is very good but has a lot of football under his belt, and will turn thirty this season.

Would have thought a young defensive starter, like LB Edgerrin Cooper, or Edge Lukas Van Ness might have been included.

If I was a Dallas Cowboys' fan, I would absolutely hate this trade.
Jerry Jones has made a ton of money, helped the NFL grow, kept his Cowboys in the headlines and even helped get the Rams back to Los Angeles ... BUT ... five playoff wins in three decades, and not even a single Divisional Round playoff victory in that time.
THAT is Absolutely NOT the guy you want as an owner if you are a fan that wants to win.
But Cowboy fans have said they were winning the Super Bowl for the last 30 years!

You could argue losing Donald and lowering his cap hits, helped the Rams get better on defense and they didn't even get any picks to help that retool.
Well, I don't know. The Rams held four playoff opponents to 3.3 yards per rush on the way to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile Saquon Barkley is still waiting for someone on the Ram defense to tackle him.

Maybe as soon as this year. it might be Staffords last year. We need a T ASAP either way.

I disagree. A team has to upgrade where they can and when they can. Parsons can be a huge addition to that team. He could tip the scales in the division. I’m sure Caleb, Geno, and Goff don’t like the move.
