If Fisher wasn't so fucking stubborn, he could have been known as a great coach. But no - he had to hire the WORST OC IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME. Gurley didn't call it a "middle school offense" for nothing.
Yeah, little did we know that Brian Schottenheimer would be the best that Fisher hired. After Shotty, was Frank Cignetti and then the Russian Czar in Rob Boras.

The name Boras is appropriate because he was a Bore Ass shit coach in his offensive philosophy,

I have never seen as many offensive plays where all 5 receivers would be within 5 yards of scrimmage on over half the pass plays in the first half when the game was still close and he wasn't yet desperate enough to try something different.

I did a review of the first halves of those games and couldn't believe that he did that.

And again, hard to understand why Fisher did not hire an OC with experience after him and Schottenheimer parted ways. Now some will comment that nobody wanted the job, but I disagree, there is always someone who will take it and the Rams could have paid them plenty because ESK was now the owner.

I remember they promoted Cignetti and did not interview anyone outside the organization and when Cignetti failed, they fired him and promoted Boras. Boras had never been an OC and now is the TE Coach for the Bills.

I remember seeing one our olineman called for holding last year by having his
arm around defenders neck trying to keep defender from advancing.

I can remember being so ticked at that call.
I mean I watched olinemen to that to AD for years and I don't
remember it being called once.

It happen so often to AD I actually started thinking it was a legal move.
The NFL official's robbed AD of so many sacks and TFL's it's not even funny.
They did that to Robert Quinn all the time as well. It is because their first move was so good they would wreck the game and they are protecting the most expensive position in football.

I fully understand what they are try to do, but its's holding.
My point was that the oline were doing to AD his whole career
And i don't remember the refs calling Holding once.
This past year I watch as one of our oline got called for holding
using exact move they used against AD

I have the same gripe. We all do.

That Super Bowl LIII defeat to the Patriots still grates. AD was being held all game, but it was never called. As soon as we got any semblance of offence going, the refs would call us for offensive holding.

Disgusting.

Tony Romo in the wake of Guley's best run of the day being called back: "Not a call I would have made".

I still believe Robert Quinn would've been a lifelong Ram and HOFer if they called all those fucking chokeholds that caused his back injuries.

...Can you tell that I'm fucking bitter as hell?

If we had Kupp in that Super Bowl we would have won it. Also I think we would have won it if McVay had hammered the ball with CJ and worn down that Cheatriots front.

Fisher said he had at least three other experienced candidates in mind but none of them wanted to be involved with a relocation. Also the reason Schottenheimer left.

If we had Stafford he would have willed a win.

My biggest regret was not getting to see him live. His early retirement sparked me to book my first trip to SoFi, 100 level seats and all, to see Kupp and Stafford before it was too late. Lo and behold, it was Kupp's last season as a Ram.

He was the TE coach with the Rams too. He has now found a strength and is staying with it. I forget what the term is that you continue to promote the people until they get to a position where they start to fail. He definitely failed as OC and is back where he belongs.

because his offense was similar to Root Canal in every, shape, way and form.

You had on the floor with that one Den.:laugh1:
It is also the most accurate description at the same time.

As for drafting Donald, I like to think Snead had to talk fisher into drafting him.
I refuse to give Fisher credit for anything after the comment he made prior to Mcvay's
first Super Bowl.

When ask about Rams going to S.B. Not sure of exact quote it was something like

Fisher saying "yea I like to think I had a hand in that."
as if he had built the super Bowl team.
Felt like kicking in the TV after hearing him have the nerve to try take credit.
Give Fisher that SB roster and Rams go 8-8 or worse.,

It never bothers me when people want to take credit even though they were not 100% involved, if it makes them feel better. Fisher knew it was McVay's offense and culture buildup that was the reason, plus, we all know the truth too.

On top of that, Fisher flopped as Head Coach in the USFL with the Panthers, he resigned after going 2-8, so I wonder in Michigan if they always celebrate the 8th of February every year?
