I thought he called a very good game! The execution was the issue.

Nah

Going for it on 4th and 3 on the 20 yard line instead of going up by 17. Not mention if its 3rd and 3 and you know youre going for it. And you pass two times in a row. Get the damn first down and run the ball especially if you have the mindset of going for it.

Come out in the 3rd quarter and go three and out. 3 passes in a row.

Next drive. You run get 8 yards on first down then pass twice. Punt

Mcvay had a terrible gameplan and often out thinks himself. And that was the Panthers gameplan. Let mcvay out coach himself. They almost pulled it off

Dude im just a guy on the couch. Of course he's gonna do what he wants. Im just saying the game shouldn't have been as close as it was. Reason is because mcvay doesnt like to stick w the run. Its his Achilles heel
We scored 34 points. The game was as close as it was because the defense did not get enough stops. Again, we have the #1 offense in the NFL this year. Not sure how anyone can think his play-calling is a problem.

Carolina did a very good job against us after the scripted (with situational options) period. We did finaly execute and I am sure subtly adjust but bad execution is often attributed to the opposing teams execution.

We had some short series on O and they had momentum and were executing, at that point their O was more successful against our D than vice versa hence the 10 point defecit to 4 point lead over that stretch
I have to give credit to Carolina for the game they played but in the end we had the horses

McVay is one of the premier playcallers and game planners in this league that is so good other teams frequently scavenge his coaching staff just to attempt to get a clone of him. What are we even talking about here? Lol.

As a fan of course we're going to be occasionally miffed by playcalls we don't agree with but I wouldn't want anyone else in the world directing this offense right now.

We have the #1 offense in the NFL and scored 34 points today. McVay can do what he wants.

Well when you put it like that everything seems so simple and it all just falls into place lol.

Agreed our defense has issues. I still stand by my opinion

The defense stopped three 4th down conversion attempts, forced 3 punts & a field goal, had 2 sacks & 3 tackles for loss with 8 QB hits....and had a pick as well. All of which served to greatly mitigate our four punts, an interception, a blocked field goal, and a failed fourth down conversion in the red zone!

Mcvay can be a little stubborn to his detriment but hes still excellent.

The short yardage 4th down runs with Corum need to stop. He is not a big back and defenses are selling out the run on 4th and 1.

No coach is perfect and Mcvay is as good as they come.

Shula needs to step it up or we are done. We need more random blitzes to rush QBs and get them uncomfortable, saw some of that today late.

McVay is one of the best play callers of the last 10 years and maybe ever. We are lucky to have him.

I do think believe he needs to take an extra look at his play calling when the Rams have a lead. They seem to let things slip away too much and blew some big leads. Hope he continues to improve and I have no doubt he will.

34 points on the road. Rethink

My only real issue with McVay’s playcalling is with these 4th and 1 calls.
Eh, my only gripe is that we don't always put Kyren on the field (when he's not gassed). But McVay is right to generally err on the side of running the ball. It's a high percentage play. But even high percentage plays sometimes get stuffed.

Two things can be true at the same time. Yeah, we scored 34. But it easily could have been more. Not taking the three at the end of the half was criminal. Avg of 5 yds/carry but throwing 42 times.

That was a mistake. However ask yourself if you would have bitched about it if we converted it and scored.

Also the metric is whether we won. And we did. So it's water under the bridge.
