Yeah...because McVay can have what I call Martz-itus. Against the Jags up 21-0 and he ignores the running game which definitely eats more clock and he kept passing the ball. How do you do that with Williams and Corum???
So we have half the forum questioning McVay for changing his offensive play calling (abandoning an effective pass game too soon) and the other half questioning McVay for not changing his offensive play calling (changing from an effective pass strategy to an “eat the clock” run strategy)?

I could have sworn i saw a clasic 3 and out. Run on 1st and 2nd down and fail on 3rd and long passing.
Give me a break.

Yep.
Its always this way and nearly everyone is guilty of this at some time.
Its like any fourth down play call. The only thing that determines if a call is good or not is if it worked.
Pass is dropped....should have run....run into a run blitz....should have thrown.
Its a circular.....um.....circle....

If it doesn't work McVay is an idiot. It it works he is a genius.

Stop the presses...... Ground Chuck was the man in my eyes.... If it wasn't for Fran Tarkenton and those miserable conditions in Bloomington Minnesota I still believe Chuck would have got a Super Bowl or two.
Never should have traded Jaworski. That was his screw up.

Sorry. But he did try to run the ball and it wasn’t getting us first downs. We went up 21-0 and tried running the ball. The result? 3 and outs.

It’s funny. People complain that he doesn’t put his foot on team’s throats when we’re up big, then complain he doesn’t run out the clock with conservative plays when he decides to put his foot on the other team’s throats.

Just win. That’s all that matters. And he’s done a shitload of that for us.

I’ll agree.I actually wish the last series he had enough balls to continue to play instead of sitting on The Ball !!
IMO - I like the depth, especially on the O”Line that Jimmy G throwing it around a couple times down field would have added to the game & given a couple players a chance to get experience.

I do understand why Mcvay wouldn’t do it & out certain players at risk. Then again why have preseason & training camps ??
The Rams had control of the clock, but still run a few plays with Jimmy G & some O”Lineman!!!

McVay does lack a killer instinct, but in the case of the last game he was trying to close it out in the 3rd quarter, but when you have a certain tight end that dropped two 3rd down passes and slips and falls on his route (on another 3rd down) it can make it tough.

But it was 21-0 and the game was over by the 3rd quarter. It was actually nice to somewhat let your guard down a little.

Better miss those 2 catches sooner than later. Actually his big catch in the game actually almost came out.

Well you might’ve been right, but Chuck Knox ? Really??

Why doesn’t Kevin DEMOFF bring back Jeff Fisher after Sean Mcvays contract runs out.

He was the 1 who well helped him bring The Rams back to LA after all.
The learned from the Seahags Chuck & gravy trained an undisclosed extension that got exposed by ED29.BTW ED29 has been working with the Eagles since 2021 for those Jaws folks.
That’s blue font.but the connection seem true.

Nah, the problem was my wife decided to sit down and watch the entire 3rd qtr with me. When she got up and left the room, they started rolling again. So that was on me. My bad.
