No, it doesn’t.
It’s exactly what was said, sure a rookie can play but it takes an injury situation for it to happen. Had Kupp been healthy who knows what would have happened.
Thank You.

well, if they draft a wr at 13 he’s better pick up blocking assignments right quick or else he won’t see much pt.#13 to me should see a lot of snaps as a rookie, as an expectation.
It’s a long season, so not playing a ton week 1-6 is a ripple we’ll forget about by the Superbowl.
I think McVay can get Tate, Lemon, Cooper going in the offense quicker than maybe a guy like Sadiq.
Damn he must have had 2k yards for Oregon last season if he was that good. You may be right, but I have seen every game Sadiq played, and he will develop into something special. If allowed to do so under a coach like McVay, we're talking All-Pro level type of player before the end of his first contract. But he's not a WR? And #13 is too early to take another tight end? Snead doesn't necessarily think that way. His addition would allow McVay to run 12 and 13 personnel like no one in today's NFL has seen. With Puka and Adams, and Parkinson or Ferguson as well, you don't think McVay will be able to get one-on-ones with LBs on Sadiq? Who has run a 4.39? And can block? He could be an H back as well. Can even hand it off to him at times. Forget about the position for one minute and look at the PLAYER.
Well like I said, any rookie drafted at 13 could see an uptick in PT if there is an injury or otherwise. Im just not of the belief that McVay is going in to the draft looking at that 13th pick thinking that they need the player to be a big contributor
Goodell and the NFL suspends for CONDUCT. This is completely independent of convictions or videos. I would lean he's not going to get a suspension too but I'm not 100% on it.
I guess the same could have been said for Puka. There are many great pros who for many reasons didn't do as well statistically in college. Someone is going to take him, and it better not be SF or Philly.Damn he must have had 2k yards for Oregon last season if he was that good.
Puka wasn't sold as a top 15 bill of goods. He went round 5.I guess the same could have been said for Puka. There are many great pros who for many reasons didn't do as well statistically in college. Someone is going to take him, and it better not be SF or Philly.
Still comes down to performing at a high level as a pro vs collegePuka wasn't sold as a top 15 bill of goods. He went round 5.
And if he wasnt so injury prone in college he likely would have been a day 1-2 pickPuka wasn't sold as a top 15 bill of goods. He went round 5.
I mean, he's not the 32nd best starter in the league and he's got some things going for him and he's shown improvement since year one but I still see drives that implode with him, too many 3 and outs and inconsistent ability to take advantage of the middle of the field.Idk man, I don't have any reason to watch Broncos games but Bo seems like a pretty promising young QB from the little I have seen. No young QB is going to be Stafford tier or play without making mistakes but "fine" seems like an objectively low bar to clear for a guy who is 2nd all time rookie passing TDs and 3rd all time for the most passing TDs in his first two seasons.
Wow. Did you read the article? I have rarely seen such a nothing filled piece of useless words. And... NFL celebrity?![]()
Sean McVay's convincing performance throws fans off scent of rookie target
Rams depth chart is surprisingly thin at QB. But did head coach Sean McVay's dramatic performance convince other teams he is not impressed with draft options?ramblinfan.com
Really? You don't really believe that do you?And if he wasnt so injury prone in college he likely would have been a day 1-2 pick
Some guys can handle volume in an offense. So I think that's a really nice trait to see a player show in college, and it infers that he can probably do the same in the NFL. Provided of course that his skills translate.Still comes down to performing at a high level as a pro vs college
Sure, why not? He was a highly recruited 4 star athlete who missed significant time due to injury. Had he followed up his big 1st year with another one, I dont see why being a 2nd or 3rd rounder would have been out of the question.Really? You don't really believe that do you?
Big 1st year? He had 168 yards. 151 his second. Are you talking about his 1st year with BYU? I could see 3rd round - maybe even sneaking into the 2nd. 1st? Yeah, that's some "embellishment" for sure.Sure, why not? He was a highly recruited 4 star athlete who missed significant time due to injury. 1st round? Ok, I embellished a bit there....
Apparently, Stowers can't block or wasnt used that way. I think Sadiq in the run game adds another domension if they use him as an H-back/move TE.Some guys can handle volume in an offense. So with Kupp as an example I think playing at the lower level of ball hurt him. That and his forty, though if you look at him as an undersized TE move weapon, his value shows. But there was still the lower level of ball. Puka may have gone round 2 if he didn't have the injury questions, hard to say but he definitely was an injury risk type flag on team boards I'd say.
Sadiq is a lottery ticket type. But I prefer Stowers, who is nearly as athletic but also has that smoothness in the pattern McVay's offense requires to produce. I think Stowers would be an ideal Puka backup or replacement pick. He should absolutely be on the board. Nobody is crazy high on him. But if we take him, he's the seam and wheel threat this offense could really use and he's big and athletic enough to line him up out wide in redzone.
Again if they take Sadiq I'll cross my fingers, but I think he'll be another upside pick we whiff on. Just how I see it. I may end up being way wrong, but I see a large RB when I watch him. Not the weapon type this offense favors in that slot role.
Again I think that has been overplayed.Apparently, Stowers can't block or wasnt used that way. I think Sadiq in the run game adds another domension if they use him as an H-back/move TE.
