Yeah, so maybe 5% of QBs under 6-2" can be very successful NFL QBs...

Josh Allen is the definition of and poster boy for “outlier”

Sometimes you bet on an outlier it comes in. If he was on most other teams besides dysfunctional Buffalo he would have a ring already, at least. Allar might be worth a day 3 grab.

I guess I don’t feel like size necessarily equates to how much a QB can take in terms of hits. Size is an advantage, especially in overseeing the field.

Goff was tall but built like a rail and stood up every time.

Brees got blasted alot as a smaller guy but took it.

Even Stafford, who isn’t some huge imposing physical specimen at QB can take hits.

Some guys can, some guys can’t. I think this applies to all football players at any size.

Field Yates & Mel Kiper, Jr. are actively doing some campaigning to defend Dan Orlovsky for his unpopular take on Ty Simpson despite both not agreeing with him either. Yates has Simpson drafted at 29th overall in his latest mock draft.

For what it's worth, Kiper, Jr. has Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson & Makai Lemon in the same top tier of receivers while Yates has Tate 7th, Tyson 9th and Lemon 19th overall on his top 50 list of draft prospects for 2026. Kiper lauds Tyson for his ultra-competitiveness and physical athletic ability in spite of the injury concerns. Yates feels Lemon has to deal with size and speed issues at the next level as a wide receiver in the NFL.

Kiper, Jr. has TE Oscar Delp ranked in the second round but is really touting him as a possible steal ("grand larceny") if he falls into the third round.

I bet many here didn't like Josh Allen out of College, circa 2018. Accuracy complaints.
Josh Allen was a successful QB on a team devoid of talent, who threw the ball downfield
Allar played on a team with future NFLers, regressed terribly after his first season and was inaccurate in a check down offense where he was afraid to throw the ball down field

Well, outside of Warren, Allar was not surrounded with NFL stars at his skill positions. And with Warren he played very well. Plus, he played in the Big 10, not the Mountain West or whatever league Wyoming is in.

Allen definitely >>> Allar as a prospect coming out. Just trying to carch hints of Josh with Drew.

I said NFL talent.
WR Lambert Smith in the NFL, WR Harrison Wallace & RB Kaytron Allen will get drafted and yeah that Warren guy was pretty good. Allar sucked against Big10 competition and knocking the Mountain west just goes to show lack of understanding. Allen elevated that program while being the only talent on it. Allar didnt raise the bar left by Sean Clifford, he regressed

I think Yates has it right. Some teams may pass on Tyson due to the injuries, and I'd be among them, but he's special in his movement. And Tate has the size, he can get off that LOS, and he's smooth. I don't think Lemon stands out particularly, has a high floor and he's tough as hell though.

Well for some reason that TE from Oregon might still be on the table?

Mcvay upgrading his TE spot for 5 years as he develops his system from what he started in 2025.

I really like the idea of playing BIG & PHYSICAL FOOTBALL!! This is The NFL !!

What really made NE GREAT?? GRONKE was a big part of it.
Plus they had some pretty good White BOY receivers.

Having The 2 Oregon boys together again could be pretty sweet
& integrative.Add Higbee,Parkinson,Davis ? Puka & Adams are both big physical WR’s

Then again I wonder is a
O”Lineman falls into The Rams laps?

LAST YEAR your posting about ALARIC JACKSON stealing money from The Rams & he knew about his Blood Clots. Now with Big Rob Havenstien gone you don’t think having a solid Tackle is important ?

I guess Oldschool doesn’t think Steve Avila is going to be missed ?
I do like Wyatt though & Limmer by next season should be a STUD!!
Then what about K-Dot ??

I’m still a believer in J.Hunt !! He’s a Luxury. He also flashed in special teams late last season,so you have that.
Tru Edwards has size & we can go down the list of Rams WR’s.— more about the Ground & Pound

I watched almost every game of Josh Allen's first season and other than his running ability, he was a bust as a QB in passing accuracy.

He worked his entire offseason off changing his throwing motion and footwork. If he did not do that, he would have been a bust once teams figured out how to keep him in the pocket because he couldn't hit a side of the barn from 10 feet away.

Allar would need to do something like that as well. Not all QBs are committed to do that.
