Getting back to the championship even with Stafford will be very hard. I think our best shot was this year unfortunately. We were completely healthy for the most part. It's a tough hill to climb again given how much went our way this year. Hope he comes back but his back is still an issue.
Its never "easy" ........unless your the Patsies playing in a weak as water AFC and facing some of the WORST QB's ever to play a playoff game.

That said we WILL BE BACK.

The current RBs solve a lot of problems but you got to USE THEM to solve the problems and not go away from them in games.
Well, a current problem is that our short yardage running game isn't very good. When we need to close out halfs or games or pick up a few must have yards, we seem to fail often. I'm not sure if that's a RB, OL, or coaching thing.

I'd like to see the splits of our short yardage before and after Dotson went out. We got him back and he looked quite good but wonder if the injury was still affecting him.

Predictable as the sunrise. Every damn year we get this stuff with either Stafford or McVay.

The current RB’s aren’t a problem but they aren’t solving the problem either. They’re fine. Stafford needs more.
I get what you're saying. Watch the Detroit offense and Gibbs threatening defenses from the backfield or pattern and the difference is glaring. So if the Rams get a chance to take an elite back it would be a good choice.

Elite players period would be good no matter the position of course. That old BPA rule in effect for sure.

But all that aside McVay better not forget about the defense this year. It's time to prioritize them if at all possible.

Other teams will improve next year. But if Stafford returns - and we add a WR2 weapon (Adams being the red zone weapon), beef up that weak ass pass coverage and find a ST coordinator that can fix the return/return coverage issues - the Rams will be significantly better next year.

Someone from Stafford's camp has already spilled the beans that he's likely to return. He's just giving the answer most would give after a heartbreaking loss. Heck, I'm only a fan, and I'm contemplating a 30-day football detox to deal with it. Just wait a week or two, when he's had nothing to do, and his girls don't want to throw the football around with him in the backyard lol.
I thought he said he was coming back just before the Seattle game

Dumb question to ask Stafford about next season coming off a tough loss like this team just endured. Give everyone some time to rest their bodies and get healthy before they make any decisions The Rams need to address their QB situation regardless of what Matthew Stafford’s decision might be. It’s time to invest some draft capital in the QB room. Jimmy G. Isnt the answer and Stetson Bennett isn’t the long term solution as well. I would draft a QB this year regardless of Stafford’s decision. Got to have someone in place that can be ready when the time comes and waiting isn’t going to make this any easier. I don’t think it has to be a first round pick and it’s possible that they could look at some of the quarterback’s around the league and possibly find one that they could develop. Look what Darnold did in the right situation. Daniel Jones turnaround in Indy or even Mac Jones play with the Niners. There are QB’s out there. There might not be any like Matt Stafford but better to be ahead of the change when it comes then caught with your pants down. Rams have been really fortunate with Stafford’s ability to play for 4 out of the 5 years he’s been here. It’s not going to last forever. I want Stafford back but I want his backup and heir apparent on the roster in 2026. A mobile QB could be the cheat code that unlocks bonus rounds for the Sean McVay’s offense. Embrace change.

I think our RBs are very good. I also would not ignore an elite back if talent and cost match up.

Gotta love this team.

Glad that McVay sets a culture of "family", just like Vermeil did.

So much better than the "hate" vibe set by that low-class HC Ben Johnson.

Both have their place. We just aren’t the same as Chicagox

I love the fact that Ben Johnson is reviving an ancient rivalry. Best way to gain support of a passionate fan base? Be passionate.

If we go elite weapon with the first pick, I understand that approach but hopefully adding a DB isn't forgotten unless we somehow figure some of that out in free agency. We shall see what route the Rams take.

Yeah I just watched some Jeremiyah Love highlights and he does have that "absolute can't miss superstar" vibe to the way he runs.

I wouldn't be upset if the Rams took him, but I think the chances of it happening are pretty slim. No way he lasts until anywhere near #13, and I don't see the Rams offering a boatload of picks to move up.
