A no brainer for me, easily the league’s MVP. How the vote was so close is baffling to me. I’m also so grateful he announced his return for next season this early instead of dragging it our for a couple months.

Well deserved and frankly an award he's deserved more than once during his career. Maybe he goes back-to-back next year...

He's one hell of a cool dude. That speech hit just the right tone. It's funny, I wasn't too worried about the MVP until we got eliminated. But if he hadn't won it I would have been pissed. Nobody else was MVP this season. Congrats 9 and family.

McVay looking like tonight he's going in for child #3 off that announcement :D
Wouldn't you? :fire1:

Also nice to see him rockin that Super Bowl ring.

Congrats to the heart snatcher / soul stealer!!

I don't care for most in the mainstream sports media (or regular media) and the fact that the vote was even close just reinforces that with me.

Note: Mia Kimes and the others like her who did not vote for Stafford can stuff it. I don't want that idiot halfwit Kimes anywhere near another Rams preseason broadcast.

Seriously though, how the hell was it this close and who the fuck voted for Herbert?

“Stafford just barely won MVP over Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in one of the closest MVP vote since 2003. Stafford received 366 points with 24 first-place votes with Maye garnering 361 points and 23 first-place votes. Bills QB Josh Allen (two) and the Chargers' Justin Herbert (one) got the other three first-place votes”

Justice was served

that's absolutely ridonkulous. at least 1/2 of Maye's votes shoulda gone to Allen -- and 1/2 of the rest to Stafford!!!

She's from Seattle. She's been waiting for years for the opportunity to talk shit and now she has it. She's probably butthurt that the spotlight was on the Rams the most of the year until the last few weeks. Enjoy your moment Mina, this is just a 1 year stint.

I stand corrected!!!!

I didnt think the AP nerdballs would give Stafford the MVP that he so well deserved and he's coming back, which I was sure he would.

Mostly Agree.

I think much of the National NFL Media skews too far Negative to the Rams ... Organization, Front Office, Coaching Staff, top players (except for Aaron Donald) and the success of the Team over the past nine years.

There are different reasons ... leaving St. Louis was $ move that some felt was unfair,
... the organization is not just proactive, it goes against NFL Tradition and Norm ... hiring a 30-year old coach, trading high draft choices, going All-In, trading an accomplished young-QB.
... the proactive / out-of-the-box thinking also applies to the charismatic head coach ... Not playing starters in pre-season, traveling 24 hours before road games.

Think back guys. Most of the above were criticized by the commentators, who were mostly proven Wrong because of the Rams' success. The Establishment thinks it knows better, and doesn't like to be wrong.

In recent years, many successful teams have copied the Rams' blue-print. They have changed the NFL.

Winning the Lombardi in 2021 was Amazing! However, it proved a lot of the Experts Wrong. In my opinion, they remember that and are quick to be critical and negative.

There are still other factors ... biased by many against big cities and even politics and economics play a role. Much of the NFL skews Right ... California and Los Angeles skew Left.

I'm not from the West Coast. Just a life-time, die-hard Rams fan who ... at the age of eight ... thought they had the coolest helmets ever ... They Did and They Still Do!

Personally, I see a ton of negative bias, and lack of objectivity towards the Rams. Although, sometimes I think we can be a little too sensitive.

Kimes rationale for Maye as MVP was weak. Only focusing on a stats from CAR and ATL but conveniently omitting Stafford’s better stats against NO and TB (common NFCS common opponents). She’s also an unapologetic Squaks superfan.

Media cares about one thing and one thing only.................a good story.

The truth is often inconvenient for them.

The story of Tom Brady part II was far more enticing than an old man from LA.

"Never let truth get in the way of a good story!"
