It makes sense for San Fran, they would save about 6 mill, but why would it make sense for Carolina?
They're surely not a player away from being good....
Even as nothing more than a game-manager, Garrapolo is an upgrade. If Rhule is at a point where he's just done with Sam maybe you do it. Gotta realize you're not a great team with either guy.

Save a little money, focus on finding a QB in next year's draft.

An option, maybe not a great one but it's available.

Except Carolina wont save money, it will cost them about 6 mill more for JG. I think I'd rather go with a year 2 of Sam than to start over with JG.
Draft a QB and let Darnold be the bridge.
And if you're Rhule, hopefully you can save your job
