Sure sounds like we're not gonna see Ferg early or often and Higs and Colby gonna get a lot of snaps from this and other reports.

I hope so, I am trying to keep my excitement in check. Having read a lot of camp propaganda over the years, it feels a bit like he has a ways to go before he is contributing on a high level and pushing Higz. Not concerned about his eventual contributions but early S1 may be a little optimistic. TE has a steep mental & physical developmental curve. Cant wait to see him in pre season

McVay asks a lot of his tight ends at the line of scrimmage so was not expecting Ferg to be a big factor in the offense for a while. Hopefully they can find ways to use him though. Healthy Higs is different... I've said before but he looked so much faster and fluid when he came back last season and noticeably trimmer. If he can stay healthy I expect a big year from him.
