Should we bank on it? Probably not. Should we discount it and expect it to be same as it ever was? Probably not.
If you want to bank on him delivering elite play for us knock yourself out. I just threw that out there to provide some balance on expectations. I am always hopeful with all these dudes, just have learned the hard way that most players are who they are after a certain point.

Pretty sad that Dresser Winn has been on the team for a couple of weeks and training camp has started and he is still not listed on the Website.
Temper the disappointment he's not even listed in the transactions yet. Maybe it's still being processed who knows.

I would love to see Forbes step up. But this is a corner going into year three. How many corners "arrive" in year three and play at a high level. I am sure it has happened, however this is probably highly unlikely. Much more likely is he gives us a good coverage option for dangerous (speed) draws, and we just live with his shitty tackling.
Durant is similar. Another dude who has the coverage skills, but in today's NFL with WCO proliferation in just about every single offense and bullshit underneath passes all over the joint both these guys are going to get beat to hell.

Key to our secondary is our pass rush. Period. For this year. For beyond hopefully the Rams invest in a top corner prospect, but that might have to take a back seat yet again due to Jackson and his blood clots, or Stafford and the continued unhappiness with his contract.

Rams this year feel like a darkhorse to me. They're no longer a top end contender because LT is questionable at best, they always come out of the gate slow, and with Stafford getting blown up from the blindside they aren't going to be able to string enough wins together to be more than a wildcard round playoff team. And that's a tough road when your QB is getting beat to hell in the playoffs.
I’m sorry to say it but you are such a hater if it’s not Forbes , it’s tutu, if. Or him it’s Durant lmao nobody can get better if they don’t do it out the gate in your eyes I hope they all prove u wrong and I’m not trying to mean ijs

Sure there are examples like Ike Taylor, Sheldon Brown, Deshea Townsend just to name a few, but like you say, highly unlikely. Of course there is another factor when it comes to Forbes. 2 years, 2 different HC (Rivera, Quinn), 2 different DCs (DelRio; Joe Witt, Jr.), 2 different DB coaches (Brent Vieselmeyer; Tom Donatell) and finally at the end of year 2 and for year 3, a more stable environment in L.A.. Should we bank on it? Probably not. Should we discount it and expect it to be same as it ever was? Probably not.
Commodes secondary has been a shit show for past 3 years. Not sure if it’s coaching or players but even Marshawn Lattimore is struggling badly. And fans are calling for a complete overhaul.

I think corners supposedly take big jumps in year 3, from what I remember anyways. Ahkello Witherspoon is a decent example. He caught on later in his career.

I'm not "banking" on anything. I simply said, while it's true (paraprhasing you) if a guy isn't a star by year 3, chances are good he's not a star......A decent starting corner? Sure. You don't think there's a chance? Okay. A star? I'm not banking on that. But I did say, he's been in a circumstances over a 2 year period, where it would be difficult to evaluate whatever he is. At least from my point of view.

I think it’s possible for Forbes to improve. Some players need the right culture to excel. If all we have heard is true, then the Rams coaching staff and high character roster should be able to get the best from Forbes. If not, he won’t be around long.

Absolutely. Otherwise, the league would be made up of players who were all clearly on their game by year 2. And I don't think that's the case.

4) Konata Mumpfield impressing. While most of the attention has been on Nacua, Adams, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington so far, rookie Mumpfield was a standout on Saturday with the movement and separation skills he displayed. His best catch of the day was on a short pass near the sideline from Bennett in tight coverage during team drills.

Maybe another late round WR find?

I think Greg Gaines got better after a few seasons. Zach Baun did too. But then there are some that never make the jump
