Then why can't the DH go into the field to replace a position player and someone else take over the DH spot? Can't do it. Once the DH goes into the field, you lose the DH spot. So it's not really "a position". It's a "special position" just like Ohtani getting extra time for warm ups and special consideration when he's removed from the mound. If he's super human and all that, why does he need extra time to get to the mound for warm up in between innings?
Because they make concessions for the best player in baseball and the fact the Ohtani is the only player that pitches and hits. People pay a ton of money to see that and it just makes good business sense. If other players could do it, they would have the same rule apply to them. Now let's get back to celebrating back to back titles.

Come aboard the bandwagon @PARAM we've been expecting you.

Yoshi pitched over 17 innings in a week.
Very “Bulldogesque”
He was amazing and one of the main reasons there will be a parade on Monday.

Come Monday, it'll be alright
Come Monday, I'll be holdin' you tight
I spent four lonely days in a brown L.A haze
And I just want you back on my side

Still my favorite song by a guy I was lucky enough to meet and interview.

That must have been a fun interview. I went to one of his concerts many years ago. What a great time.
I interviewed him at the Old King Street Palace in Charleston SC.
The place has an amazing history.
Elvis played there several times.
I saw Bob Dylan there.
Jimmy Buffett came out to check out the venue from behind stage and saw a few people standing there so he did a little tap dance for us. :)
Very fun interview from a very positive guy who you could tell just loved life and people.
My favorite concert there though was the reunited Allman Brothers who hadn't been together for about 10 years but had only played about four shows since reuniting. You could tell they were really into it and a lot of smiling was going on.
They made a special stop after Hurricane Hugo as a benefit for the area.
Now converted into condos.

Gregory Peck said its a sin to kill a mockingbird. But shoot all the blue jays you want. :sunglasses:
Careful: blue jays are corvids. Related to crows and ravens and rooks, and just as aggressive and vengeful. If you shoot at one, you had better not miss.

The Dodgers sure had their share of misses. But the aim was right on at the end.

We actually feed blue jays in our back yard. They’re kind of like the SF Giants. They really love their nuts.

Those fuckers are only there because they've driven away all of the other birds. That's what they do.

My house is right next to the woods. There's a single blue jay, and it's an asshole to the other birds, including the cardinals, the many robins, the sparrows, and basically every bird I see that I don't know the exact typing of; I will watch it fight those birds with its beak and claws every time I see that little bastard/bitch, without fail. I think the only two birds it won't fuck with are the red-tailed hawk that comes around every so often (usually in summer to autumn before it moves on) and the barn owl, both for obvious reasons.

I wish the huge fox/coyote (either that thing I saw two winters ago was the biggest damned gray fox ever, or it was a coyote that my mom spotted when she drove to my place. I know we have red foxes, but they weren't as big as that thing.) that lives around here would snuff it out, but I suppose the squirrels are just stupid enough and both them and the rabbits plentiful enough to not bother with one bird that would/should be a snack to them.

Nah. We have lots of birds. We have a regular bird feeder that the small birds use, the seeds that fall are eaten by several dove. We put peanuts out for the jays. I’ve only seen the doves be dickheads to this one smaller dove.

Again, your blue jays must be the most cooperative members of their species in existence. Reading more online, and knowing from what I've seen and heard, these assholes will mimic hawk calls to scatter other birds, try to drive away and bully other birds with their size advantage, will eat eggs and nestlings of other birds, etc.

Blue jays are fucking jerks; it's why I'm a Cardinal fan. :P
