Well, playoffs are not a given if they don't right the ship. They've been a sub .500 team for almost two months. Not showing signs they're ready to make a run.

Today their offense struggled against a pitcher with a ERA at almost 8. A 1.80 WHIP. His ERA sure got a boost today.

Meanwhile Ohtani got knocked around for 9 hits and 5 runs in 4 innings. Best they can do would be a 4 game split with the worse team in the league.
I get the frustration, I do. However there is a 99.999% chance we make the playoffs and we probably win the division.

After an emotionally charged series in LA, which they swept, its just hard to get up for an August series in Colorado. Just human nature.

Look, the best team in the NL just got swept by their rivals...

Win today, and then gear up for another battle in SD. Snell, Glasnow, and Yama, I like our chances.....

In the playoffs, we aren't going to throw out there Alex Freeland, Conforto, and Buddy Kennedy....

162 is a grind....stick with em!

It's extremely frustrating.

Losing 2 out of 3 to the Rockies is completely unacceptable.

The worst team in the league by far and can't hit a rookie with an 8 ERA before the game.

Just absolutely terrible.

This is not a good look at all.

And I would put Ohtani in the bullpen just to pitch a few innings a week when they have a large lead or behind by a few runs. It's clear that he is still trying to get his stuff back.

A kid I know was drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round. He played with my son in travel baseball. His name is Mason Legenza.
Starter for the Mets tonight Nolan Mclean played with my son. Hell of an arm, was a 2 way player for a year at Oklahoma State.

Big series this weekend for the fellas. We hit, we win!
