Conrath and Carrington have both been sub-par this pre-season. When they talk about the 7 person DL rotation, these guys are not mentioned, and it's just as well. Conrath (in theory) is the better run defender, Carrington historically the better pass rusher pre-injury. Neither are getting any penetration or getting off their blocks this pre-season, and they're getting the lions share of snaps. Between their poor play and the glaring gap left by Laurinaitis, it's not surprising to see the run D suffer. Between the two, Carrington seems most likely to make the roster, Conrath seems destined for... not.
I watched Langford pretty closely against Green Bay. He didn't flash a lot, but he did what he does which is dominate his gap. I'm not worried about him.
Brockers is a monster, esp against the run. He practiced today. So I'm not worried about him.
Donald... certainly has his moments, but I do worry about him a bit. He'll never be a massive run stuffer, and will need a big body like Brockers to complement him. But his big play ability from the 3-tech, both TFLs and QB pressure, priceless.

I have found myself wondering who I'd rather have on the game day roster between Carrington and Westbrooks. From what I've seen so far, I'm leaning towards Westbrooks, even if that means 5 DEs and 3 DTs, where William Hayes would take extra DT snaps (backed up by Westbrooks).
