The fact that they were willing to cut bait on a 5th rounder should tell you all you need to know. Even if he does end up being better than Reeder, it isn't now. Plenty more drafts and UDFA coming down the pike. Dolac didn't get any snaps, but he made at least 2 tackles on ST. I mean 1st man.
While I do get your point it still looks like a mistake to give up that early to me. Especially when we all know that Reeder wouldn't get picked up off of our practice squad and would be there if needed.
Was it bad scouting on Paul?
Was it a bad background check?
Was it lack of patience?
Was he nicked up?
The future will tell us but I'm sticking with he could have been an improvement over Reeder.
Reeder will be the one to prove that, which he did against Houston, or disprove it. Not me.

The way I see it, is the Rams didn't think he was worth the effort, for whatever reason. This from a team that nurtures it's young players and shows what some here think is to much patients. This tells me it is more than just performance and potential. The Rams put a big percentage of their player decision making on chemistry. He wasn't a fit. Sort of like thinking a person you have known for a long time and you think you know them. You think he would make a great roommate and when you move in with that person you realize it won't work.

I’d love it. Not sure Landman would do it unless it’s a pretty sweet deal. I’m guessing he’s going to bank on his play to bring him a sizable contract. From what I’ve seen, I hope it’s with us.

Maybe if he has a big season he nets them a good comp pick.
