I’m good with Rivers and Schrader as deep reserves. Also Presley at WR.

I honestly haven’t paid much attention to the roster outside of the offensive skill guys in preseason. I felt it was the #1 area that needed change. Still skeptical we did enough.
A little puzzled, we didn't do enough to add to our skilled positions? Keeping Stafford and Williams, signing Adam's, drafting Ferguson and Hunter was not significant? Not sure what other moves there were to make but we sure as hell didn't stand pat.

Especially because the Rams just could have simply stashed Lampkin on IR (as they did with Keir Thomas) with his ankle injury; and treated 2025 as a red-shirt year.

Added to that is the Eagles have an outstanding Front Office that (like the Rams) make a lot of smart moves.
I was also wondering why the hell they didn't do this.

Bummed about Lampkin. Hoping we pick him off the Eagles practice squad if we have an injury.
"In the NFL, there’s an unwritten rule that teams don’t claim waived/injured players. It’s a courtesy so the original team can stash them on IR without losing them.31 teams respected that with #Rams OL Willie Lampkin. The #Eagles (Howie Roseman) broke tradition and claimed him."

Lampkin is now on the Eagles 53 man roster.

They thought highly enough of him to cut Treevor Keegan (their 5th round pick from 2024) who is a pretty good OL from U of Michigan.

Yeah I just read that he was put on their 53 and they cut Keegan.
Conflicting reports out there.
If a team picks a player up off waivers (like the Eagles picked-up Lampkin), he is on the 53.

Should that team then want to get the player on its Practice Squad, he first must be released, and then must pass through waivers.

This was my initial thought on him as well. I actually thought the “injury” could have been overstated as a way to stash him away. It sure seemed like the smart play, to me at least.

If he was on IR before cuts (Like Keir) he's out for the year, cant return, cant practice with the team

Not conflicting with Lampkin
Dude. I DID IN FACT read a conflicting report that said he was signed to their practice squad.
Any chance you can ever just drop something?
Or maybe take somebody's word for something?
Jeez.

That's what I've always thought but I did read a report that he was signed to their practice squad.

The offense as a whole, although efficient…has become an offense that lacks in a quick strike threat, with skill guys (RB, TE, WR) who are generally not very explosive or scary in the open field. Lack of speed all around, and only one guy (Nacua) who could be labeled as elite. Everyone knows this including the Rams.

Adding Adams was a good addition, maybe even great, but we just don’t know if he’s still elite.
Tutu got “promoted” but hasn’t played much so it’s unknown if he can solve the speed and quick strike problem.

As for the rookies (Hunter and Fergs) I have doubts if Hunter even gets enough touches to add explosive plays. I don’t see it with Fergs, but we’ll see. Rookies. Both are DEPTH rookies.

So we essentially replaced Kupp with Adams and Robinson with Tutu.
All other skill starters are the same guys.

I love Stafford but let’s face it, aside from his elite arm and decision making…he hurts us in explosives too. Can’t move too well these days. Obviously I’m cool with that, he’s our QB and we’re lucky to have him. I think he needs more explosive weapons.

This post is a novel. I’ve explained my position in more detail earlier in the offseason.

(My opinion)Bottom line, I don’t like our RB’s. Need an elite guy there. We need more players on offense besides Nacua that defenses are afraid of.
