We live in a fire risk area and built our home 17 years ago in NoCal.

We too spent much money to protect our home from fire and confident it can survive the worst of circumstances.

And we had no choice. The county demanded that we did so.

The judginess from some during this time is disgusting to me.

Anyone that knows what’s happening in LA should know to use Arizona instead.These areas are still in the fire zone in the sense knowing people that have had there house burnt down & or ready to evacuate themselves.
-The only reason it gets moved is for the Families (people) that are grieving,or air quality.SOFI is not at risk at all & or won’t be !!!

You really think The Rams won’t play in LA ? It’s the Playoffs

For real !! Sad to think people want to put balme during tragedy. My condolences for what has been lost.Big Whit was special the way he & The Rams were there for the LA community.My hope is they win at SOFI, and help with support as long as they can.The wish is everyone is safe,and these fires get put out without the least amount of damage.

It’s hard to watch & feel what people are going through.Just like you said we never know,and we can look around this country see it.

I do have a #13 road gold n navy Warner I failed to mention. It’s pretty ragged though.

No Goff gear for me. Nope. Nice guy n all but nope.

It’s gets in to the low to mid 70’s lately, it has gotten much warmer, it’s a combination of crazy strong winds, a dork (apparently) who thought it was okay to have an outdoor bar b q, and here we are

We ALL live in areas that can be wiped out by mother nature and at some time, have.

The Pacific Palisades is a place that WAS as special of a place that could be. I am blessed to have spent some of my childhood years there.

Know how you feel, or at least a bit. Moved to Joplin, MO in 2016, about 5 years after the may 11 F5 tornado. It scoured a mile-wide path, over 5 miles long, right through the middle of the city, destroyed 2 hospitals, the city's high school, several other schools, and wiped out many businesses, churches, homes... 4,000 buildings were completely destroyed, another 4,000 heavily damaged. Lots of places, lives, memories were completely erased.
I didn't live here at the time, but a 22 yo guy I work with grew up here. As a 9 yo, his house was wrecked while he & his family sheltered in the bathroom. He's still traumatized; every spring he marks the tornado watches with dread.
Times like this, we come together as a community. Thank everyone who comes to help you clean up, rebuild, and get your lives back together--thousands of volunteers will pour their compassion out on you. Our area is the HQ of several nation-wide disaster relief ministries, and may already be on their way. Know that millions are praying for you all right now.

So far no plans to move the game. And so far they're able to practice. Albeit probably with poor air quality. Things could change the way those winds are whipping everything up.

That was a great drop!!!

I heard one person driving through the fire, describe the situation as "walking through hell". I can't imagine the feeling. Fires, earthquakes, blizzards, tornados and hurricanes. The things we endure to live in a beautiful place we love.

"In my day we used to go out and play in stage 3/4 smog alerts in Whittier/LA (70's). Rub some dirt on those lungs and practice!" ~ snackdaddy

I moved to Joplin in 1974 (I was 10 years old). I lived in Springfield MO when the tornado destroyed my mother's house in the heart of the storm three blocks from Joplin HS. Fortunately, she was visiting my sister in Jefferson City.

Now I have 3 daughters living within 20 miles of the fires (downtown LA and Camarillo.

while tragedy tends to bring out the best in us, I wish our country could learn that level of compassion on the regular.

I wonder if any of these people would live in a Amish made tiny home, like those wiped out by the hurricane in NC? I got a feeling the answer would be no.
