This maybe a Combo of play calls, but we for the most part are usually in the middle or top half. This comes down to shitty O'line health I think.

Im for sprinkling other backs in, but clearly Mcvay is choosing the wrong back-up then. I think hes being careful. Take Eagles for example with Shipley and Saquon. They are tipping off thier plays due to whos being in.

Saquon was with Giants and they had a similar O'line to us, hell some years better and still avg less. Henry same thing with Titans, though hes very consistant! These o'lines on Eagles and ravens have weakened, and now they all of a sudden cant do anything? Clearly thier Homerun hitting struck out because they are so used to the Homerun ball, not small ball!

Henry did the same thing on Titans, as Kyren does for us! 4.2-5.0avg Range 300-400+ Attempts! Running back is not our issue!

Take Colts for example with Taylor. Hes a Homerun hitter, but Very Similar Stats to Kyren. They have a NASTY o'line. He has Speed. What Kyren does in short yardage some of these Speed guys wish they could do, and Kyren wishes he had more speed and could do what they do. Double edged sword sometimes.

Gurley was a machine in 19. Between the 20s his knee didn't allow him to be that effective but when the Rams got inside the 10, which wasn't that often, man that guy knew how to find the endzone.

Have I ever said how much I loved that guy?

Not knocking McVay and I'm not claiming to be an offensive genius or anything. Just giving my 2 cents off of observations in general.

A lot of times, it seems like the sequencing of plays is the problem. For example, we try a pass play and go for the endzone and incomplete. Then we run and get stuffed. Now it's 3rd and 10. Or we try some toss the ball to the RB play and it gets blown up for minus 3 yards. The Rams in my opinion, need to get positive yards in the red zone by pass or run. 2nd and 5 or 2nd and 3 makes Stafford dangerous because so many options are available.

But too often, it seems like the Rams are 3rd and long, or 3rd and short and can't convert with the run. Maybe some new and creative plays? Maybe 2 TEs so the back has more options to find a hole. Maybe throw in a few plays where a TE is a like a fullback?

On the 4th and 1 where Kyren gets stuffed by the whiners to end the game, a naked bootleg to the other side of the line probably gets the 1st down. I guess what I'm saying is McVay is better than what we've been seeing in some of these situations. I mean why run where Havenstein's backup is playing on a crucial 4th and 1?
I was with you until you mentioned a naked bootleg. Have you seen Stafford run -lol.
