I love this run at 2:20. Shotgun draw, two good cuts in the hole, puts his foot in the ground and shows good acceleration to get upfield. Makes TWO guys miss and stiff arms the third to get into the endzone. The more I watch the more I love this fucking kid.

LOVE this pick!!!
Wouldnt be surprised to see Hendo traded now. This kid is perfect compliment to Akers, and will be awesome in 3rd down sets. Really good pass pro. Knocked because he doesnt have the fancy 40 time, but is quick thru the hole
Classic McVay and Snead pick. Fuck the times, look at the football tape.

I'm reading that if he didn't run a 4.65 40 time he was a lock to be a 2nd-3rd round pick. Rams use GPS speed data over pure 40 times so this has a Kupp feel to me in a lot of ways. There's a legit chance he pushes Hendo for backup duties. I'm loving everything about this kid.

Looks like a good Sony replacement with the pass pro ability.

How is he in short yardage though.

40 times may still be where the market inefficiency remains in the draft and later rounds these days. But for a supplemental guy who offers a complete 3rd down skill set and experience returning punts, not sure you could ask for more from a 5th round pick. Just hits the head on everything except being a starter... which is what Akers is for.

Guy has a chance to be significant role-player for years to come.

My guess is that Akers is the guy who we'll see on short yardage plays. I believe Rams usually only dressed 3 RBs on game day so you're prob giving up a bruiser for the scheme versatility of Akers, Hendo, and Kyren.

There is a world where Kyren takes over PR/KR (1 of two probably) duties and perhaps allowing us to dress 4 RBs more on game day.

Powell's days may be numbered.

Would’ve preferred Badie (obviously), but how can I get upset at choosing a St. Louis native who is a very good
prospect in his own right?

I’ll be rooting for K-Will!

His pass blocking prowess is no doubt in large part why the Rams valued him so highly and gave up assets to move up and pick him. With Stafford, the move to go all in on the pass now seems super clear and deliberate. The offense keeps moving in that direction. Look at the offensive line shift as well. Hard to blame them!

Good pick it seems. Love UND products.

This guy feels like a hell of a pick. Can't wait for the camp competition gonna be live. :bomb:
Yea man I didn't think I'd be this excited for a 5th round RB. I figured we'd grab a high upside guy late but this dude is a legit complete back with upside. Every thing I've seen the last hour has me so excited. He also played great games vs the best competition like Clemson and Bama.
