Means nothing of the sort tbh.
I disagree because rookies will naturally get more better with actual reps. He'd have a much better chance at eating into Hendos touches earlier if he were fully healthy. In terms of the long view, it won't change anything unless his injury just hangs around as Hendo is probably gone after this year.

Seriously someone send a priest, shaman, or witch doctor into the RB meeting room. We gotta cleanse that bad juju. Fuck it bring in the flamethrower and build them a new room.
This is what happens when Steven Jackson isn’t in our Ring of Honor.

Rams Dealing With RB Injuries

June 7th, 2022 at 8:39pm CST by Ben Levine

The Rams are dealing with some injuries to their running backs corps. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters that running back Kyren Williams broke his foot and had surgery (via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic on Twitter). Fortunately, it sounds like Williams will only miss the first few sessions of training camp, but it’s still a tough break for the rookie.

Meanwhile, Darrell Henderson isn’t participating in on-field work as he deals with a “soft-tissue injury.” As Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk.com writes, Henderson initially aggregated the injury during May OTAs. At the time, McVay indicated that Henderson dealt with the same ailment in 2021, but the RB still managed to appear in 12 games (although he was limited on only a single playoff contest).

While Henderson found himself in and out of the lineup in 2021, he still managed to finish with a career-high 864 yards from scrimmage. Williams was selected in the fifth-round of this year’s draft following a standout career at Notre Dame that saw him collect 31 touchdowns between the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

It’s obviously too early for the Rams to worry about their injury situation, but the team’s depth at RB will certainly be stressed for the time being. The team still has Cam Akers, who led the RB grouping during the Rams’ Super Bowl run, but they lack experienced depth behind him (Henderson and Williams were likely to slot in as the second and third RBs, respectively).

As a result, the likes of Jake Funk, Xavier Jones, and Raymond Calais will see increased reps over the next few week, and the current absences could help one of the three snag a final roster spot.

People are really over thinking this injury. Yes it could always not heal right and create problems but we have a pretty good track record with our training department. Also keep in mind his rookie year Akers was the backup or 3rd back until week twelve. Hendo had 39 carries and 4 receptions his rookie year total with 22 of those carries and 3 catches coming in weeks 7 and 8. The rest of the year he was nonexistant. This doesn't change much if anything I'd expect him still to be worked in as the early part of the season progresses.

I was thinking the same thing. A muscle pull, groin, hammy, etc I could understand.. but a broken foot?
Which is why its less of a concern. Clearly it was a freak thing. The muscle pull, groin hammy, knee, ankle etc are the lingering type of injuries which can become more of an issue
He'll be ready to go by TC
We dont need him pushing for snaps in June, leave that for September, October....

Probably got his foot stepped on.
So you think , next year , our guys will have extra padding on the top of their feet.
Just like the Helmets? :laugh4:

I know it's not funny, but with our RB room, I don't know else to do but laugh.
I have to let the lumps on my head heal from banging it on the desk so much.

They'll probably be out there in armor in about ten years. With flag football rules.
