Most yards by a #1 and #2 RB

RAMS >>>> Williams 1252; Corum 746 (1998)
Atlanta >>>> Bijan 1478; Allgeier 514 (1992)
Detroit >>>> Gibbs 1223; Montgomery 716 (1939)
Baltimore >>>> Henry 1595; Mitchell 341 (1936)
Buffalo >>>> Cook 1621; Davis 275 (1896)
Chicago >>>> Swift 1082; Monangai 783 (1870)

I'm not saying they're better than Gibbs/Montgomery or Bijan/Allgeier but their numbers are damn good

Agreed -- the RB room is a serious strength.
Only if Love happens to fall to #13 should we even think about drafting an RB this year.

The complaints coming into the season was Kyren fumbles too much (twice this year after 5 last year) and doesn't have the long runs (six 20 yard + runs this year after 2 all of last year). Did he quiet those concerns? In my mind, yes.

That fumble at the goal line vs SF was his only real blemish this season. And that was a perfectly timed peanut punch as well.

I will gladly eat crow here. I was critical on his fumbles but he's cleaned it up. They both look improved this year.

The only other RB I would want if not him would be CMC because you know Staff would use the hell out of him as a WR.

How good is this offense? We have that RB duo and our WR duo is #1 too.

1. St. Brown (1401 yds; 11 TD) & J. Williams (1117 yds; 7 TD) >>>>> 2518 yds, 18 TDs
2. Pickens (1429 yds; 9 TD) & Lamb (1077 yds; 3 TD) >>>>> 2506 yds, 12 TDs
3. Puka (1715 yds; 10 TD) & Davante (789 yds; 14 TD) >>>>> 2504 yds, 24 TDs
4. Njigba (1793 yds; 10 TD) & Kupp (593 yds; 2 TD) >>>>> 2386 yds, 12 TDs
5. Chase (1412 yds; 8 TD) & Higgins (846 yds; 11 TD) >>>>> 2258 yds, 19 TDs
6. Smith (1008 yds; 4 TD) & AJ Brown (1003 yds; 7 TD) >>>>> 2011 yds, 11 TDs

Gladly give up those 14 yards for 6 more TDs.

Throw in our quartet of TEs (103 rec, 1128 yds, 17 TDs) and we've got something!

Puka led the league in receptions and was second in yards to Njigba by 78 yards. Adams led the league in TD receptions. Rams just shy of having all three facets of the triple crown. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

My point was usually all the talk of RB duos starts and ends with Gibbs/Montgomery. Most talked about receiving duos are Chase/Higgins, Tyreek/Waddle, Davonte/AJBrown or St.Brown/Williams. All things considered our 2 RBs and WRs were the most productive. Hell throw in our QB and TEs and nobody matched this O. Like Fanotodd said,, Lets get it done in the postseason.

Fumbles yes, ability to break off long runs? Hell no. Most of us complaining about that aspect were referring to his ability to take it to the house. Kyren has never and will never have that homerun ability. With that said, everyone here has always admitted he's a pretty damn good back. However, I wouldn't hesitate to add Love to this backfield. He's just got a different gear that most NFL running backs don't have. Obviously that's an after season conversation so I'd rather stick to I hope our current RB tandem do well during this current playoff run.

Well, how many NFL back have the ability to "take it to the house"? Expecting that from KW is unrealistic. Long runs, meaning 15 - 20 yard gains is what most would like to see. And he's had significantly more of those this year. Who wouldn't want a Stafford, Adams, Puka, McBride and Barkley on their offense? How many teams have something very similar?

And curiously enough, Ashton Jeanty was going to be a stud. I'm sure he will be eventually. He had 3 runs of 20 or more yards this year. Not exactly a juggernaut in year 1. Kyren was #11 in runs of 20 yards or more (6). So there were 21 other teams who didn't have a "Kyren".

Never said it was a part of his game and mentioned Love specifically having that gear to do so that many backs currently in the NFL don't have so you are essentially saying exactly what I said but just using different words. I'm just giving my personal assessment of Kyren yet still saying he's a pretty damn good RB. The conversation to add that homerun dimension, if even possible, is an off-season conversation. This year, the Rams have done well in running blocking and the RBs taking advantage of that. Throwing Jeanty's name out there vs our run blocking/running backs is a terrible ass example. The Raiders hands down have a trash ass offensive line, possibly the worst in the NFL whereas we actually have one of the better ones. If Jeanty ran behind our line, he would have balled out. Unfortunately, the NFL is a team game and shitty blocking equals shitty run game. Us Rams fans are blessed to have a team that is a great offense this year. Even in crappy games, the Rams have put up decent scores. I hope they put it all together even more during this playoff run and bring us another Lombardi.

You use everything you've got Saturday! Sometimes McVay gets to pass happy for me and he neglects KW and Corum. I want to see the Panthers totally confused on Saturday because they're getting hit with all kinds of formations where they can't figure run or pass.

The Oline should be 100 and the backups have had plenty of snaps, Dedich and Humphries filled in nicely and got good reps and experience.

I WANT A RAMS ATTACK THAT'S LIKE A BOULDER ROLLING DOWN A MOUNTAIN SIDE!!!
