I know you're kidding around but I don't think it'll be anything like that but I think it could be a similar revelation that we saw McVay had after Blake Coram busted one for about 20 yards in spot duty for Kyren Williams.
They put the camera on McVay and he had this look on his face like there was a light bulb going off over his head.
And look at these results as the leading tandem in the league.
I am glad they are saving him for the time being, and hopefully we will see him take snaps next season hell even if its pre season. I would like to see what we have in Hunter, but as far as KW and Corum are concerned that is a duo you don’t want to mess with. Let em feast together.

Oh I'm aware of his shortcomings. He doesn't have blazing speed. Some seem to think that's a serious problem. And yet he scores touchdowns at a rate as good as the fastest RBs in the NFL. Yards don't win games, points do.
Weird stuff.

It’s not a “serious problem”.. but it’s an actual weakness. The good news? The Rams know how to use him and are maximizing his skills.. and he’s doing great!

But.. understand.. the Rams want more explosive plays.. that’s one of the big drivers to getting Corum so many touches.

Really? Did the Rams really say they want more explosive plays out of the run game? Or was that what Ram fans were saying after they drafted Hunter? I thought they wanted Corum to get more touches to keep Kyren fresh. And what a surprise, it's worked. He went from 4.1 in 2024 to 4.8 this year, tripled his 20 yard+ runs and went from 5.4 per reception to 7.8. Corum went from 3.6 to 5.1 with the extra carries.

FWIW, the only RBs with more total TDs than Kyren the last 3 years (44) are Gibbs (49) and Henry (46). Just think of how great his numbers would be if he didn't have that top end speed weakness!

I was a Corum doubter, but he's evolving into a reliable running back, but I don't think we will be able to keep both Corum and Williams. I can see the Rams trading Corum next season for a WR.
You do realize that both are already under contract for the next two years, right?

Yeah, not often we have 2 play drives or even 4 or 5 play drives. We always seem to have to have 8- 10 plus play drives. That makes it tougher when playing a top defense where it is more difficult to execute long drives consistently.

The good news is that we're not in a position where we must trade Corum; this is only his second year on a rookie contract. Do we trade him in year four? That remains to be seen, but next season, I doubt we deal him if he's this effective for us.
Right. There's literally zero reason to trade him. In fact, in a thread where we're lauding Kyren and Corum as the league leading duo, it's a strange suggestion almost as if we're allergic to success.

Kyren and Blake's 1-2 punch could pay huge dividends in the playoffs. I noticed there seems to be fewer fumbles but I didn't actually check stats on that. Maybe fewer untimely fumbles?

So you're saying drafting AD was malpractice then since D line was not a need at the time....ok lol
This is a misconception. The Rams strongly considered a penetrating 3T a need that year. They signed one as a free agent and they worked out every pass rushing 3T projected to be drafted in the first 3 rounds.

I know this because I almost won a contest on the Rams official website of guessing who they would draft with their two 1st round picks. I guessed AD at pick 13 precisely because I was paying close attention to who they were scouting.

We need proof! :laugh2:

This guy would add some explosion and might be an easy no brainer pick for them. A dynamic TE to replace Higbee and compliment Ferguson & Parkinson. That is if McVay likes his 3 TE sets to continue. And this guy is almost like a bigger WR anyway.

If we draft Love there is. Dude is gonna be a dual threat monster in the NFL. Last RB I felt this strong about was Gibbs. He's that much of a freak athlete. Someone gonna get a bonafide stud. But hey, I don't know shit lol....I was the guy that kept mentioning Judkins as a stud last year too but boy was I wrong hahahahaha.....

My goodness.. you type a lot to say so little.
And.. look at how silly you are… pretending I don’t appreciate how good he is.
Oh.. Corum has a significantly better explosive run rate.

I like Williams… I’m happy he got paid and he’s an excellent player and team leader.

And he’s not explosive.

I'd gladly take Chris Johnson out of San Diego State with the 13th overall pick without even thinking twice. That's my go-to guy, for me. Credit @Merlin for being the first one on him.
Appreciate the cred though it's not necessary. After all if he goes in round 3 @OldSchool will never let me hear the end of it.

Corners are always a good bet to move around at least a bit from the early lists, due to the workouts. Hope he runs just well enough that we can position comfortably for him. Not too fast though. :laugh2:

I never said you didn't appreciate KW. Sure, you may undervalue him and you may desire someone more explosive but you appreciate him.

Man we beat this dead horse every day. And in multiple threads.
These 2 RBs are one of the primary reasons our offense was rated NUMBER 1 in the NFL this year. The O scheme is a "pass to set up the run" type, and these guys are perfect for it. Sure they're not J.Taylor or D.Henry but, as a RB room, based on combined yards, per the OP ours is tops. KW alone is 6th overall in the NFL, more than Gibbs, McCaffrey & Saquon. As for scoring, KW has 13 tuds - tied for 9th with 3 other players in the entire NFL including WR's (4 players tied at 5th including Davante). You just can't argue with success, guys. Just how much did D.Henry help his Ravens get into the post-season? or J.Taylor? both are on their way to Cancun this week. In terms of their overall contributions towards team wins, these guys are great we should all applaud their incredible body of work this year.

But I will say, to be fair to the naysayers:
- based on "Big" run plays (20+ yds), KW is tied at 11th in the NFL, with 6. D.Henry? 17.
And here's where a lot of the fair criticism comes from:
- based on "Longest" run plays... KW is 53rd in the NFL, tied with Tyler Shough (!). (BC is 32nd, Puka (!) is 35th.)

All in all, if Love does happen to fall to us, we should at least entertain the idea of picking him to add that "big play" factor to our RB room -- as long as there's CB prospects at #32. But there's no way you trade either of these boys away. They will grind you enough yards to get you playing meaningful football in January, year in & year out.
