Right now the Rams depth (as far as I can tell) has Acuri at LT, Dedich and Leveston at G, Limmer and McMahon at C and McClendon at RT. I too would have liked a swing T at least. But, I would not really want that over any of the draft picks except the last pick. But, that would be a development T at that point anyway.
I like Dedich and Limmer. McClendon has been hit and miss. Can see some potential at RT but the Rams need to add more at both T spots.

Imagine Jackson or Havenstein going out for the season.

I think we are playing with fire here and need to consider signing some old vet if there is any sitting around still.

We saw what McClendon and Acuri are capable of and it's not pretty.

Hard to imagine a rookie not selected early would be the answer. They must have a few veterans in mind.
I'm still intrigued by KT Leveston though.

Love all the picks but the last one (he'll be lucky to make the practice squad) But I think the entire draft class can contrbute right away in some shape or form.

And the #1 next year...It's gonna be fun to watch the next draft!

I think this is why O-line depth was needed. Now I'm not back seat driving on McSnead. I trust them. But it's been clear to me that a few injuries can tank our season which I hope is one where winning the Lombardi is a possibility with good health.

Still, overall, good draft and as a major plus, the Rams picked up possibly a decent #1 pick. Gotta root against the Falcons this season.

Great
-Tremendous Value for the R1.26 trade/kings of R1.2026
-Great value with Paul at R5.172/ potential steal
Good
-Nice under the radar pick of Stewart at R3.90
-TE in Ferguson that can replace (or improve on) Higbee
Curious
-Overreach on Hunter at R4.117?
-Wasted pick on Mumfeld when players like Pierce/OT, Restparo/WR or Alexander/CB remained?
-No CB/OT picks?

I’m giving it a B-

The future 1st saves it. Feel we drafted a few good players in the mold of the type of players the Rams are attracted to. That is mostly a good thing but I also feel like they shy away a bit from high upside more riskier picks(offensively). I like the added defensive depth.

So, adding up FA and the draft…The knock is that I don’t feel like they did enough to move the needle offensively for 2025.
As of today it still rests on Stafford’s older arm, the durability of Nacua and Adams to have a really great season.

The RB’s will still be pawn chain movers, goal line finishers and pass protectors.

Ferguson could upgrade the potency at TE. I don’t see it. Once he takes the #1 from Higbee I’ll start paying attention to the kid.

If anything, I expect the defense to take a step up this season and for the offense to remain “fine.” It’s not enough.

Biggest reaction is the Rams continue to draft guys who make complete sense. I may have thought other positions were needs, and we'll see... but the guys they did pick all seem to fit a real need on this roster. They all also seem to make the team better.

What would be incredible is if they hit on this draft like 23... Can you imagine what this team will look like if Ferguson, Stewart, Paul and Hunter produce like Avila, Turner, Young and Nakua?

As for grade? It's an A+. I believe them when they said they considered drafting Ferguson at the end of the first round... but they got him at 46.. and got a MFing First Rounder next year!!!!!!!

That is just brilliant, brilliant shit.

I agree with those who graded the draft high but we missed an opportunity IMO at the back of the 7th and in UDFA

There were long waits between picks so I was glad we traded up but, for the same reason, was disappointed they traded away next years 4th (again). For that price I am expecting big things from Ty Hamilton

My bigger gripe is we had a great opportunity to sign CBs Cobee Bryant and Zy Alexander together with OTs Logan Brown and Hollin Pierce

Our draft is pretty cheap in terms of salary impact so I am a surprised we didn’t throw more money at these 4 UDFA one of which, at least, would probably have made the active roster

Nah - that would be Cleveland. Not only are they likely to finish with a worse record than ours, but they have Jacksonville's pick next year; the Jags will probably be worse than the Falcons in 2025.

B+.

Why not an A?

--Last 2 drafts were monster drafts, hard to live up to drafting Nacua and Verse back to back.

--No first rounder, and one less 3rd rounder .

-- Didn't fill the gaping hole at backup OT, and surprised they didn't get a young stud at either CB or WR (aside from 7th round).

Positives:

--strong chance we will hit on a couple of these guys who LOVE football. Stewart is gonna be a favorite.

--didn't waste a pick by drafting a QB a year too early

-- FANTASTIC trade to give us legit ammo in 2026.

Unless we make some trades, next year's draft should be a whole lotta fun. If it was somewhere other than Pittsburg, it would make a very fun vacation.

As somebody who tours the lower 48 for 20 weeks a year and cycling through the same 30ish cities, I can say with some experience that you could do a lot worse than Pittsburgh. It's actually one of my favorite cities. Maybe not the ideal locale for a family vacation but a perfect city for football purposes!

I thought the draft was revelatory. That is, it says so much about where we are as an organization and a roster that we can go out and draft chess pieces. We have the foundation of a good team (post-fa) so we were able to draft compliments to that foundation.

How many teams can do that?

I think our hand was forced by the Atlanta offer but I believe it to be a blessing in disguise because we can use that pick to package and trade up for a QB that can keep our team winning for the next decade.

The future was looking scary because of Stafford`s age. But now, I am really excited about my Ram`s fandom post-Stafford.

Plus, we might even retain McSnead going forward as our team should remain competitive.

The present AND the future looks good boys! :check:

Listening to McVay you have to feel the Rams got their guys. The kicker is an extra #1 for next year. The big change from previous drafts was only drafting 6 players as the roster won't have a lot of open spots.

46(2)
Terrance Ferguson, TE-Much needed future/injury replacement for Higbee. More athletic but needs to bulk up.
90(3)
Josaiah Stewart, Edge-Keep that pressure going. He fits right in with the rest of the high-motor young guns on the front 7.
117(4)
Jarquez Hunter, RB-Similiar package to KW and BC but with more top-end speed. They have to keep rotating in RBs
148(5)
Ty Hamilton, DT-Strong run defender up the middle to replace lost players like BBIII
172(5)
Chris Paul Jr, LB-Wild card future starter.
242(7)
Konata Mumpfield, WR-He looks smooth to me. Makes great catches but, misses some easy ones.

You can't add to every position. The Rams should have some cap space to make a move or two later on.

OK a little silly to grade at this moment. No draft is perfect so I'll give it an A-.

I'd give it an A+ if we managed to add a swing tackle, but, man, getting better while adding a 1st next year is quite the haul. I also love that they addressed our lack of speed on both sides of the ball. This is the deepest April roster I can recall in a long time. I see them looking through free agency/other team's cuts/trades to fill swing tackle, CB, and Bennett competition - maybe a tall burner WR. All other weaknesses have been addressed - and that's pretty impressive for April.
