If there is something in the works...it may very well be for a CB.
Agreed with that. With Rochell and Williams both hurt, it seems prudent to trade for a cornerback.

Could they be trading Rob H and moving Alaric Jackson into his spot or Anchrum?
I agree it does seem odd and the way he started the season one I don't like. It would make more sense if Jones had benefited from the snaps Young lost but he didn't. We saw promise from Jones in preseason and camp so hope he realizes it but in all honesty lately we've all felt the need to improve at ILB. Perhaps this is the move that allows that, only time will tell. No, I understand that.
I'm saying why cut him at all?
As I posted above, if they want to start Jones ... terrific.
However, keep Young around for depth and insurance in case of injury. They only have 3 ILBs right now; and none on the PS.
So keep him for the remainder of the season and then his contract expires; and he becomes a free agent and signs elsewhere.
Without a corresponding move, it seems like an odd trade.
Offensive line has been one of the best in the NFL this season... seems counterintuitive to screw with that to save a few dollars. If we're going to win the Super Bowl it's going to be because Stafford stays clean.Could they be trading Rob H and moving Alaric Jackson into his spot or Anchrum?
I hope so. However, the Rams' current cap space seems to be around $5M.The restructure of Havenstein yesterday plus this move makes me feel a trade is in the works .
That passes the smell test except for the cap issues. They'll have to free a LOT more if they made that move. There have been rumors in Jacksonville Myles Jack will be traded

Not sure this makes sense $$$ wise, but he's been my favorite UCLA player since Wendell Tyler! Love to have him on the Rams. There have been rumors in Jacksonville Myles Jack will be traded
Is he a better player than young? I don't know much about himNot sure this makes sense $$$ wise, but he's been my favorite UCLA player since Wendell Tyler! Love to have him on the Rams.
Good post but if i'm the Rams and wanting to bring in outside help, it's someone to help beat Kyler Murray. A better DB could help but better S/LB play would definitely make a dent IMO.I agree that this will be a trade for a defensive player. I'm thinking CB for sure because of three of the four other contending NFC teams:
Cardinals - Hopkins/Kirk/Green (destroyed third CB)
Cowboys - Cooper/Gallup/Lamb (destroyed third CB in training camp)
Bucs - Evans/Godwin/Brown - Brown was out and he's been their best WR thus far
Sure, David Long was involved in those - but I don't feel great about Rochel covering Evans/Godwin/Brown - so a trade here seems prudent given who we will be playing in the playoffs.
