LOL!!!Glad to see Mcay is reading my posts and got another CB in free agency in Watson.
Now if i can just get the wife and kids to listen.
I think Snead and McVay were listening to both of us

That would explain them bringing back Kendrick and Reeder last year.I think Snead and McVay were listening to both of us![]()
Kendricks was horrible and the only reason they brought him back was to get intel on Seattle. That would explain them bringing back Kendrick and Reeder last year.
Is he? is he really??But Reeder is a decent ST player.
Is he? is he really??
Yet one more reason I think we were dead last in ST's ranking last season. I even saw one article (iirc) that said we were the worst ST's unit for the last FIVE seasons, going back to 2020.
I don't care if ol' blue eyes was on the yacht with 9 and McVay and Higgs. GET HIM OFF THE TEAM.
Durant….or McCreary?Curl and Kinchens at the safety spots. Lake in the slot. McDuffie and Watson on the outside. That will be a good nickel defense. Re-sign Durant for depth and dime packages.
Definitely not you as you profusely said the secondary was fine. Now you are changing your story.LOL!!!

Durant….or McCreary?
Do it will depend on FA interest from other teams but I see one of these 2 being retained with a contract aligned with a backup.I very much like Durant when he’s not CB1 or CB2.
McCreary at this point is just a name…
He’s shown next to nothing
"I'll take Neither for $5000 Alex."Durant….or McCreary?
Rams have 3 starting caliber CBs under contract (McDuffie, Watson, Forbes)."I'll take Neither for $5000 Alex."
Josh Wallace got snaps last year and is under contract. Given how the Rams develop he's probably CB4 or CB5.Rams have 3 starting caliber CBs under contract (McDuffie, Watson, Forbes).
Assuming they keep 5 on the 52 man roster where do we see CB4/CB5 coming from (FA, Draft, Reserves)?
Also they may use Lake again in the slot time to time. Depending on the matchup. I at least have yet to hear that he's moving over to the pairing. Would be nice if one of the media would ask that specific question.Rams have 3 starting caliber CBs under contract (McDuffie, Watson, Forbes).

The secondary was fine..... it was far from great but there were other small issues with the defense that maybe you just weren't able to see in real time and didn't go back and watch the games again.Definitely not you as you profusely said the secondary was fine. Now you are changing your story.
Different day, same shit. The secondary was fine..... it was far from great but there were other small issues with the defense that maybe you just weren't able to see in real time and didn't go back and watch the games again.
1. Our LB's had trouble in coverage.
2. QB containment.
3. DL over pursuing.
4. There were times the QB had all day to throw. When you have mostly an average DB group, limiting the time the QB has to throw is important.... I think Shula is going to fix that if Snead can get a LB that is a beast in coverage, which can allow some blitz packages.
All four of the above very fixable, and losing your best DB (Lake) really didn't help either. The Rams defense prior to Lake going down were I believe in the top 10. Ya there is an argument to be made how one player can make a difference, but the same effect happened with our offense when Adams went down, and redzone and 3rd down efficiency was noticeably affected and that is with a stacked offensive group. But as great as our offense was, at times they put the defense in some pretty precarious positions. I won't even begin to get into our ST's, but at least we found a kicker Meevis....hopefully he comes back.
But with that, the reason we didn't get a Super Bowl trophy was because of ST's (punt returner), and the offense inability to capitalize in the red zone.... Sometimes big games require big plays and we just didn't make enough of them to win.
That was frustrating. It's like something about our front got figured out along the way. Or maybe some unreported, low level injuries.4. There were times the QB had all day to throw.
