In this coming draft the Rams have a Round 6, No. 207 pick. That's about where Puka was picked in his draft.

So, let's just trade Puka, but then draft another "Puka" with the 207th this year, then we're all happy!
That’s also about where Zach Evans was picked in that same draft. That’s unfortunately the norm for that late in the draft.

Pay the man, he has earned it and stop worrying about all this other BS, after all greatness only comes around once in a great while. The time to pay him is now while this team has a chance for greatness. You think the Seahawks or the 9ers would pass up the chance to resign a talent like Puka, hell look at what the Seahawks just gave their receiver.

People questioning re-signing Puka is insane to me. He's a top fuckin talent and plays the game the right way. Signing him is a no brainer. None of his outside shit has caused any problems.

This site is as close to social media I get. Colin Cowherd has made multiple references, and he's close to Snead. Albert Breer said on a podcast earlier this month that the Rams "have options, as things weren't perfect" last year. The rumored AJ Brown trade may have been sending a message.
I think Ian Rappaport also mentioned it.

I don't think it's the end of the world but just fascinating if anyone turns a blind eye to it.

I think the thing that has some people confused is what will we be turning a blind eye to? He’s had zero trouble with law-enforcement. He’s had zero discipline issues from the team.

The only thing you could point to is, there was a single day last year where he had a few tweets and things he said go viral. All from him doing a live streaming thing. Other than that, I’m not sure what anybody on this site would even be talking about.

The Rams will pay Puka and they will like it.
Exactly. Some great comments in this section. Puka will and should get paid.

Trade value is nothing, because it is all fools gold "potential".

When you hit on a pick, whether in the first round, or the 6th round, you stay with that player and pay them when it is time.

We really have to start discussing these contracts in terms of % of the cap. With the CAP constantly going up by alot, the actual money figures loses all relativity to anything that happened even the year before.

As for Puka, I imagine we need to work out the logistics of Stafford first, but don't fuck around. Sign him what he's deserved, which is a top of the market contract.

Maybe we should scratch that "zero trouble with law enforcement??"

It pains me to write this, like most here, love the guy so much.

Didnt we hear Rams weren't expected to extend Puka "til Summer?" Which i took as strange cause guys usually get paid right after the other. Didnt we pay Goff shortly after Eagles paid Wentz?

Curious how we’ll leverage this info to extend Puka. What do you guys think?
I'm in the minority that believes that it's ridiculous to pay this kind of money to any WR. Puka included.

Like RB, the position can be just too easily filled via the draft and you don't even have to spend a top 15 or so draft selection to do it. Now the success may not be immediate in most cases, but it's probably one of the more easier positions to fill with cheap labor. Especially, if teams plan ahead.

A talented player in a good offense who (and this is important) is on the same page with a good QB can thrive in this league.

Meanwhile all these WRs receiving record breaking contracts have or had no Championship rings on their fingers prior to the huge new deal. KC didn't pay Tyreek Hill, dealt him, and won two more Super Bowls.
