It's really hard to take the NFL seriously..

Sip a beer Josh Gordon? 1 year suspension...meanwhile they'll gladly receive revenue from the big beer corporations and then advertise it everywhere..

meanwhile real infractions, like integrity of the game w/ a history of cheaters, continue without reprocussions

So; he's not allowed to drink any alcohol at any time?

Is that a normal stipulation when in one of these programs?
 
To the ppl who said they wouldn't trade anything for this talented beast....... Major props, like forreal! The crow tastes terrible, thanks for asking. Jeez Josh Gordan... I didn't know you couldn't have alcohol if you were in the program. I don't drink at all, and even I'm wondering if this is a harsh rule or not because I'm assuming a lot of his teammates drink (idk if that's too strong a statement or not haha, please let me know if you feel otherwise). In that sense, the suspension feels pretty unfortunate but rules are rules tho.

On the bright side, I'm hearing Justin Blackmon is really making a step to overcome his issues, he's trying to change and get better, and has a chance to be reinstated in 2015.
 
This league is all ass backwards. Ray Rice beats his wife, almost gets away with just a few games off until shit hit the fan, Leonard Little ran somebody down and walked away, but just drinking will get you a one year ban? I could understand if he was again using marijuana, but this is ridiculous. Unless he showed up completely shitfaced or pulled a Stallworth I don't understand how you can justify such a harsh penalty.

So he got a DWI last July and that gives the NFL the right to forbid him from drinking alcohol. What kind of union do the players have that allows the league to take away their rights? Then the league somehow makes it so suspended players can't even play football in another country? Are you F%$#@&g serious? They can't even get a job in another country?!!!!!!!!! This is total BS. The NFL is out-of-control.

If in the face of losing his career he still has to self medicate then I hope he gets help. Hate for him to degenerate the way Titus Young did.

Don't know why he's drinking and getting high when surely he knows the risks or worse knows that he will get caught.

Love to see him get straight and use some of that immense talent before father time takes it away.
