Jared did a good job today. Got the W and didn't turn the ball over. He missed his target a couple times early but seemed to settle down. Im sure his thumb played a part in it too.
That’s what we call a shit sandwich.. compliment -complaint-compliment

Couldn’t quite make a fully positive post eh ?

It was clear after watching him that he wasn't healthy and had no business being out there. I'm kind of pissed Bortles wasn't active knowing that and hope McVay changes that next week. But yeah that was a very gutsy performance by Jared.

Goff was a fucking hero this game. As I said, he has one of the best play-actions in the league. Really sells it, and that's part of why the marriage between run and pass in McVay's system works so well.

Get behind the kid.
We 've heard of talk about trading or wanting to trade for Watson.

Need to support Goff. He's not a natural born leader, but he has the talent.
The whole offence needs looking at before we just start blaming Goff for everything.

Hard not to respect Jared. He was making the right reads, but the thumb made it hard for him to get the ball there. He missed a handful of throws he usually makes, but he made the plays that mattered and didn't turn it over.

I am hoping Jared had been comparing his recent struggles with the Wolfman's penchant for making quick decisive calls. Jared needs to do the same going forward. That injured thumb should only be getting better between now and the next contest; so he should perform better. It helps to have another primetime Gurley-esque player in the backfield.

Yall already know how I feel.

Goffs been my QB. I like the person and the talent and I want to see him succeed, not just for the Rams but for Jared Goff too.

I also support Wolford, how could you not root for an underdog? How could you not like his moxy and enthusiasm? I was happy to cheer him on, making memes and being totally stoked for his opportunity. But last week after the Cardinals game I knew he was taking too many hits to the head... not that this was his fault. He shouldn't have been injured on that play... but playing fearless is a luxury for people who haven't been wrecked yet. The kid might have a bright future in the NFL and I hope he does. I'm a fan.
But Goff is my dude.
He is far from perfect. All but 3 or 4 QBs are consistently good year after year. For the other 28 or 29 teams, their QBs have ups and downs and its all about putting them in position to succeed.

Goff has weaknesses in his game like anyone and his particular problems are compounded by this O-lines weaknesses.

There couldn't have been more internal pressure on him tonight. He didn't play scared but he did play smart. He made the plays necessary to get us the W and he did it with an injured thumb and I have to believe injured pride. In a road playoff game against a division rival. He jogged on the field as if he was expecting it. When things started rough, he didn't panic. He let the game come to him rather than try to force it.

I noticed on a few of his passes his release looked different/weird....can't really explain how. Can't believe he could still do anything with that thumb, the most important finger on the hand.
But Indeed, he DID a superb job "gutting it out." He's one tough SOB!
