I think Williams and Witherspoon is a legit camp battle at best. I don't think it's a given.
Interestingly, so has Dave Chapelle. Hmmmmm,Hes actually put some weight on.
Yeah that pic was more early 2000's Chapelle Show Dave.Interestingly, so has Dave Chapelle. Hmmmmm,
Ramsey, Witherspoon, Williams and Durant will all get a lot of work.Who is he playing over if we trade for Ramsey?
That's a secondary that has enough to get us over the hump IMO. And I like our safeties.Ramsey, Witherspoon, Williams and Durant will all get a lot of work.
Yes, I wouldn't even include that rainy ass game in SF. There was hardly any passing going on in that game due to the weather. Secondary needs to improve.
They're as good as the pressure the defensive line is getting IMO.
That was the plan according to Snead. With a young front 7 they wanted steady, smart, experienced DBs. It seems to have worked. They're as good as the pressure the defensive line is getting IMO.
And the line should only get better. Hopefully the corners don't regress a little. That was the plan according to Snead. With a young front 7 they wanted steady, smart, experienced DBs. It seems to have worked.
I actually think the secondary vastly improved after the bye and really showed up toward the end of the season. Clearly, the Dline steadily improved. But our DBs stepped up as well. They're as good as the pressure the defensive line is getting IMO.
Well, when people pointed to these three games to assert that the offense was atrocious, many, and IIRC you included, asserted that the scores were so low because of the bad weather. If so, that also applies to the defense.
That could have played a part against the Jets I guess, but not the Niners and Cardinals. The Cardinals game was at SoFi. The Niners game was at Levi’s Stadium. I would never claim that weather inside the dome or at San Fran played a part unless maybe it rained at Levi’s stadium.Well, when people pointed to these three games to assert that the offense was atrocious, many, and IIRC you included, asserted that the scores were so low because of the bad weather. Also, do we really want to use those three sucky teams as the measuring stick?
It was pouring at Levi, I was actually there in person lolThat could have played a part against the Jets I guess, but not the Niners and Cardinals. The Cardinals game was at SoFi. The biggest factor for the Rams low offensive score, that came out later, was that Stafford had some broken ribs from a hit sustained in that game against 49ers.
But that has nothing to do with how well the Rams defense played, unless Kyler Murray, Brock Purdy, and Aaron Rodgers all had broken ribs too.
They definitely improved down the stretch. Those 3 games and the Vikings game they help opponents to single digit scoring. The Seattle game was a like a preseason vanilla defensive scheme. I don't think we can pin the playoff loss on the secondary considering 3 touchdowns were long runs by Barkley and Hurts.I actually think the secondary vastly improved after the bye and really showed up toward the end of the season. Obviously, if the Dline is making QBs throw quicker, it helps the DBs. But the opposite can be true as well. And I saw several times where the QBs had to double clutch or move instead of just throwing. So in those cases, the DBs were giving the Dline more time to get after the QB.
It’s never a one way street. Dline helps the DBs and LBs. DBs help the Dline.
Fair enough. You're right that at the time there were complaints about the offense and weather was brought up, we didn't know about Stafford's ribs. That said, I think it's great they held those teams to under 10 but in fairness none of them were good teams. That could have played a part against the Jets I guess, but not the Niners and Cardinals. Not great but not bad teams. Arizona ranked 12th (23.5) in points per game and San Francisco ranked 14th (22.9). The Jets were 24th.Fair enough. Wimp!
Arms are big enough for CB, but dude looks like he has skipped leg day, since H.S.
