All those other professions don't make their employers/partners billions of dollars. The players earned that money by the fact millions and millions of people want to watch them play their sport.

What kind of fucked up life would it be if there was no sport, movies and especially music. I don't begrudge them making all the money they make. They make my miserable life much better by distracting me from all the other shit going on there.

You're totally taking my comment out of context. I didn't say those things shouldn't exist, I'm saying as a society we put these people up on a pedestal, pay them millions of dollars and give them the media spot light. Going back to my original point if players did it for the passion of the game you wouldn't see all these entitled actions from players. Perfect example Tru Jo, average cb went to the highest bidder on a shit team.

again, they get paid millions because they make their partners, the owners, billions of dollars. actors get paid millions because they make the movie companies billions. musicians get millions when their records sell like hotcakes.

why do you begrudge them making their share of the billions of dollars their skill generates on the open market?

Read between the lines. We as a society have our priorities all fucked up. We, let me say it again WE give these people millions and billions of dollars to watch a damn game. We as a society have our priorities all fucked up. Those millions or billions should be going to things that matter, not ENTERTAINMENT. I'm in no way saying we shouldn't enjoy sports or movies etc. I'm simply saying I dont agree with any of these people making that much scratch for entertainment value. Furthermore I'm please stop with the owners get theirs why shouldn't players get theirs? Did I say that ANYWHERE in my statement? That's right I didn't. Quit putting words in my mouth. I simply said money should go towards real heroes not entertainers.

Way to make this about something it's not.

I'm the furthest thing from. I actually have conservative values. Just think this country has its priorities backwards. Again you're assuming something that you're wrong about. At the end of the day it's my opinion just like you have yours.

But how is all the money generated by sports, movies and music supposed to make it to the "real heroes"? I don't get it.

And how is society to blame for enjoying watching sports, watching movies and listening to music? How do they have their priorities fucked up?
