If you're not peaking this time of year then it's usually an early exit. That's the reality unfortunately. Even getting players back for the wildcard round you can't just turn it on again. I'll be rooting for the good guys as always, but it's not trending in the right direction. They'll need some luck to go their way to make it out of the wildcard round then maybe they can get some MO back heading into the divisional round. Who knows.
I think that’s why McVay wants momentum playing starters.

For all the sky is falling people, I just want to remind everyone that we won the Super Bowl this year.View attachment 73903
The NFL is whack. A big win can easily get the dominoes falling in our favor.

McVay is saying he's playing the starters accounting for IF San Francisco loses on Saturday. If SF wins there is no way he's playing majority of starters in a game that can take Rams from 6 seed to 6 seed.

I guess i stand corrected.......

Sean McVay says starters will play regardless of playoff seeding; see key injury updates ➡ http://espn.com/app

We'll see if thats actually the case. Hopefully it matters.....

Im sorry. If our game actually DOESN'T matter (SF win) i have to severely question Sean if he plays all starters all game in a meaningless game.

Last season's (2024) Week 18 game actually was at least a LITTLE meaningful (3 seed that could drop to 4 seed with a loss, and DID) and he sat starters, you're telling me this year's game COULD BE completely meaningLESS and he's going to PLAY starters??!!!

Severely questionable if this plays out if San Fran wins, and none of the aforementioned starters better get hurt in this game then.

Hopefully its a moot point and SF losses....

Normally I would agree. But the bitter taste of defeat against the falcons justifies winning and getting momentum going into the playoffs. I would pull starters later if the game gets well under control like the last cardinals game.
